Podar International School conducted Students' Council, Elections andInvestiture Ceremonyfor the academic session 2026 – 27.The elections as well as investiture wereorganised with great pomp, spirit, passion and dignity.

Students Council promotes civic responsibility, management skills, leadership qualities and decision - making skills. PISAmbegaon promotes the same in a democratic way under the guidance of Principal, Mrs Anagha Gholap. The school witnessed an election campaign where the candidates presented themselves and appealed for the votes. The voters’ discretionplayed a crucial role in the campaign. The students, the visionary Principal and the teachers voted for the head boy, head girl and house wise captains and vice captains.

The investiture ceremony signified the reliance and confidence that the school offers in the newly elected students council members. The ceremony was held with lots of zeal and zest.Mrs.SumedhaYogesh, an extraordinary, inspiring and selfless nation-builder who has dedicated over 26 years to unwavering national service, known as the ‘Oxygen Woman’,was the hon’ble guest on the occasion.

The newly leaders’ profiles were read out to the audience. They were conferred with badges and sashes by Principal Ma’am and the hon’ble guest. The students’ council took the pledge.

The Exemplary Principal, Mrs Anagha Gholap, in her inspiring address, congratulated the newly appointed council members and emphasised that leadership is not about authority but about service and responsibility. She encouraged the students to lead by example, maintain integrity and work collaboratively with their peers and teachers.

The Hon’ble Guest, Mrs. Sumedha Yogesh, congratulated the newly elected leaders and advised them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. She highlighted that leadership is about taking initiative, showing empathy and working for the welfare of others.

The event marked a significant occasion in the school calendar, aiming to instil leadership qualities, responsibility and a sense of commitment among students.
The function concluded with ‘Pasaydan’.

Podar International School is proud to share the achievements of the students in Save Two - Wheelers and Pedestrians Campaign.

Save Two - Wheelers and Pedestrians Campaign was organised by Ministry of National Highway Authority of India. Regional Transport Office, Pune conducted it. The winners received trophy and certificate. The names of the winners are -

1. Champion - Prathamesh Gavhale (Std 1)
2. 1st Runner - up - Shivtej Mohite (Std 3)
3. 2nd Runner - up - Siddhi Damale (Std 2)

Group 2 -
1. Champion - Darsh Shirude (Std 5)
2. 1st Runner - up - Manasi Karande (Std 6)
3. 2nd Runner – up - Spruha Kulkarni (Std 4)

Podar International School reopened for the new academic session with renewed enthusiasm and a vibrant spirit of learning. The day began with assembly where Principal, Mrs Anagha Gholap addressed the students, encouraging them to set new goals and strive for excellence. Important guidelines regarding discipline, academics and co-curricular activities were shared. Class teachers interacted with students, introducing them to new subjects, schedules and classroom expectations, creating a positive and engaging environment.

The day concluded on a happy note, leaving students motivated and excited for the year ahead.
