Every year, August 15 marks the Independence Day of India. Dressing up in nothing less than festive spirits, watching the tricolor flag go up and kiss the breeze, singing the national anthem with our friends, take part in competitions hailing the freedom fighters and immersing in a sense of pride are some activities that marked the Independence day celebrations annually in India. However, this year with COVID-19 pandemic raging outside and the social distancing protocols in place, We at PCMRD celebrated this Independence day on virtual platform with same enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.

Letโ€™s honour the valiant heroes who made us proud and mighty nation. May the glory of this day be your inspiration for tomorrow!

Mind Game - How to overcome challenges during tough times

The Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted normal economic activity and life around the world. All affected Countries including India are taking all possible steps to curb the spread of Corona virus and adopted a policy of Lockdown to battle this Pandemic. In times like these, we as professionals have a much higher responsibility especially when the entire Nation is fighting the global Pandemic COVID-19. Such a situation is also creating an environment of stress and anxiety amongst the general public.
In order to boost the morale of students, PCMRD organized a webinar by Mr. Hitendra Soneji on 6th June 2020.
Mr. Hitendra Soneji is the Founder CEO of Will to win, Soft Skills Development Training Centre, which is based in Vadodara, Gujarat. He has a rich experience of 30 years in marketing. He has trained more than 40000 people within 10 years of establishment of Will to Win. He has been associated with more than 150 reputed companies, like, L & T, Adani Power, Lupin, Cadila, Asian Paints, Crompton Greaves, to name a few.

This webinar was open to everyone and those interested were invited to register on the Go-to-Webinar platform. 192 registrations were received from the wide spread community of students, academicians, research scholars and industry representatives.
Mr. Hitendra Soneji shared his valuable insights on Mind Game - How to overcome challenges during tough times with the students.
He advised students to unlock the power of mind and use it to circumvent all problems at hand. He presented the story of hare and tortoise from different angles to highlight the usage of strategy formulation and its implementation to achieve success. He rightly pointed out the importance of team work and using the core competency to oneโ€™s advantage will ultimately help to achieve the organisational goals.
All in all this webinar helped students to understand supreme power and potential of mind. It also taught them how to rewire brain to overcome adversities and face challenges with grit and determination.
