ISGS believes that field trips enhance academic learning and also foster empathy, critical thinking, and a sense of civic responsibility, as they aid in providing students with meaningful learning experiences outside the classroom. Our recent field trip to the War Memorial proved to be an enriching experience for our students. With a sense of respect and curiosity, students from grades 5 to 8 embarked on a journey through history, exploring the legacy of wartime sacrifice and honour.
The highlight of the trip was the visit to the museum, where students had the opportunity to explore exhibits showcasing artifacts, photographs, and personal stories from various wars. Of particular interest were the displays featuring authentic tankers used in past conflicts. Students marveled at the sheer size and power of these armored vehicles, gaining a deeper understanding of the realities of war. The field trip to the War Memorial left a lasting impression on students, instilling in them a deeper appreciation for the freedom they enjoy, and the sacrifices made by those who came before them. Here is a glimpse of such amazing learning........
