Yankee Academy is a Canadian / Indian joint venture, with the aim of training our students to communicate with authentic North American English and accent.
We believe that in order to speak English with a North American accent, you must be taught by an experienced and qualified North American instructor, who speaks English as a first language. All of our advanced courses are taught by native English foreign instructors; each having years of experience in teaching English as a foreign language (EFL/ESL). Our foreign EFL instructors have been certified
in Europe, Canada, and the USA, and have experience teaching EFL all over the world. To reinforce our North American Accent course offerings, we utilize technology developed by Carnegie University’s “Native Speakers” (www.businessinsider.com/carnegie-speech-software-better-2012-5). This cutting edge software was designed to enhance your ability to speak with a near-native North American accent in just one month or less. We will immerse you in North American culture and language, so that speaking North American English with a near- native North American accent becomes second nature. To further enhance your experience, we feature a full service café, “Yankee Doodles”, offering authentic Canadian and American fast food such as burgers & fries, hot dogs, submarine sandwiches, poutine, and pasta - all available in vegetarian, chicken, pork or beef. You will also have access to our archive of over 1000 English movie titles, and literally thousands of American television shows and sitcoms, titles such as “Friends”, “Seinfeld”, “Fear Factor”, “Two and a Half Men”, and many more. For our out-of-city students, we can help you find adequate accommodations in Pune, close to our training facility. We also offer employment assistance to graduates seeking employment within the BPO, contact center, or international business industries.
