It's been a while we did not post a new recipe here. It doesn't mean that we have not discovered new recipes. Stay tuned!! I am pleased to launch the series of Papa's Zhatpat recipes for the kids. I would be posting Summer coolers that would take less than 5 minutes and your kids would be more than happy.

MADHUBAN SABZI

Ingredients:

Item qty
Pomegranate 100g
Half Boiled Peas 100g
Slice pineapple 4
Chopped Apple 2(medium size)
Grapes 250g
Half Boiled & Chopped potatoes 100g
Half Boiled & chopped carrots 100g
Cumin seeds ½ t spoon
Turmeric powder ¼ t spoon
Rock salt 1 t spoon
Black pepper 1/2 t spoon
Curd ½ cup
Salt adjust to taste
Paneer 50g
Butter 100g
Method:

1.Heat the butter in the frying pan.
2.Add cumin seeds to the heated butter & half boiled carrot & peas .When they appear a little brown,add boiled and chopped potatoes.
3.Then add turmeric powder, black pepper, salt. Mix them thoroughly.
4.Then add finely chopped fruits (pomegranate, apple, grapes, and pineapple).
5.Then after 2-3 minutes, stop the supply of heat & add fold in curd to it.
6.Garnish the sabzi with paneer and serve it hot.

Singhare ka halwa
Ingredients:
Item qty
1. Singhare ka aata or singhara flour (Water Chestnut flour.) 100g
2. Ghee 100g
3. Sugar 100g
4. Milk 1 cup
Method
1. Take ghee in a frying pan & allow it to melt.
2. After it melts, add Singhare ka aata to it and roast the flour until it appears golden in color & releases nice aroma.
3. Then add milk and sugar to it. (Avoid lumps)
4. After some time, it releases ghee indicating that the halwa is ready.
5.Then serve it sprinkling some grated coconut .

Farali bhajiya
Ingredients
Item: qty
1. Singhare flour (water chestnut flour) (‘singhare ka aata’) 250g
2. Potatoes 2
3. Green bananas 2
4. Green chili paste 1 t spoon
5. Salt ½ t spoon
6. Cumin seed (jeera) ½ t spoon
7. Roasted groundnut powder 30g
Method:
1. Filter the ‘singhade ka aata’ .Mix the green chili paste, salt, jeera&roasted groundnut powder and prepare the batter.
2. Now remove the coverings of potatoes and green bananas and cut them ,as thin as chips.
3. Heat the oil in a frying pan for deep frying the ‘bhajiyas’.
4. Now, while preparing the bhajiyas, add a little, hot oil to the prepared batter.
5. Now dip the potato and banana chips in the batter,deep fry them, & serve them hot as as bhajiyas.

Farali Moothiya

Ingredients:
Item qty
1. Boiled potatoes 150g
2. Rajgira flour 100g
3. Singhara flour (water chestnut flour) 50g
4. Grinded lauki or bottle gourd (it should be water soaked) 100g
5. Cumin seed (Jeera) 1 t spoon
6. Sesame seed (til) 1 t spoon
7. Coconut powder 1 t spoon
6. Garlic + green chili paste 2 t spoons
7. Salt adjust to taste
8. Sugar 1/4 t spoon
9. Curd 2 t spoons
Method
1. Mash the boiled potatoes. & add rajgira flour, singhara flour,water soaked bottle gourd(lauki),cumin seed ,sesame seed ,coconut powder ,garlic +green chili paste,salt,sugar ,curd to it & prepare the dough.
2. Now make oval shaped balls (muthiyas) out of the dough.
3. Now deep fry them or fry them with til & serve them hot.

Zhatpat Laddoo

Ingredients:

Item quantity
1. Paneer 100g
2 .Khoa or khoya or khawa or mawa 100g
is a whole milk or milk thickened made by heating
milk in an open iron pan to condensation.

3. Sugar 4 table spoons
4. Cashew nuts (kaju), kishmish (raisin)
pieces (dry fruit) Adjust to taste

5. Cardamom (ilaichi) 4 table spoon

Method:
1. Mix khoya and paneer thoroughly.
2. Add sugar, dry fruits, and ilaichi to it.And mix them thoroughly.
3. Now, give the shape of laddoos to the above prepared mixture.
