At Summergarten, we truly believe in the beautiful practice of bringing warmth and home into a child’s day. When a mother cooks for all the children, it creates a feeling of love, comfort, and togetherness that no packed meal can replace. The aroma of fresh food, the joy of sitting together, and the care behind every meal make the children feel safe, nourished, and deeply connected.
We value these simple, meaningful moments because children learn so much through daily life—through observing, sharing, waiting, and feeling cared for. Meals become more than just food; they become a part of their emotional and social growth.
Today, we are especially grateful to Mrs. Tripathi, mother of Yuvaan Tripathi, for cooking for all of us with so much love and affection. Thank you for bringing a little more warmth to our Summergarten family.

Day 8
Put away your wallet — This is what kids really need.
A trek to Panchwati hills today has me reminded that our kids don't always need extravagant vacations. Getting outdoors, playing in the dirt, and maybe a little water is just right for them. A good reminder for all city men & women.
EIGHTEEN SUMMERS: IT’S ALL WE GET with these tots. So I decided to make each moment count while uncovering something new. Taking the trip to the nature and getting fully submerged was just ideal...... Got in plenty of pictures so that you enjoy the ordinary moments.

Day 7
Each morning at Summergarten begins with a gentle coming together — a circle of small voices, soft rhythms, and warm presence. Through verses and songs, the children slowly arrive into their day, finding comfort in repetition and joy in melody.
These moments are not about performance, but about connection — to self, to each other, and to the world around them. In this calm, unhurried space, language becomes music, movement becomes expression, and the day unfolds with a sense of grounding, belonging, and quiet wonder.
PS ( for those who would like to listen to these beautiful verses, don’t forget to check our stories.)

Day 7
At Summergarten, cooking is not just an activity—it’s a gentle, nourishing experience that engages the whole child. Young children learn best through doing, and cooking offers a beautiful blend of movement, sensory exploration, and meaningful imitation.
As little hands wash, stir, peel, and knead, they are strengthening fine motor skills, building focus, and developing a deep sense of capability. The warmth of preparing food together nurtures connection and gratitude, as children witness how simple ingredients transform into something shared and sustaining.
And since it was Earth Day today, we also spent time creating simple earth-inspired crafts, helping the children feel a quiet, growing bond with nature and the world around them.
Sincere thanks to Mrs Gupta ( mother of A***n Gupta) for today’s lovingly prepared meal.

At Summergarten, childhood is gently slowed down — where free play flows freely, little hands are immersed in meaningful handwork, and each moment is unhurried and full of wonder
And in this calm, nurturing rhythm, even mealtimes transform… with simple home-cooked food made with love, the children are eating more mindfully, enjoying every bite, and slowly learning to feed themselves with ease and confidence.

In our Waldorf Summergarten, each day unfolds with a gentle rhythm—beginning with prayer and verses, flowing into handwork, and opening up to long stretches of free play. A simple piece of silk becomes so much more than just fabric—it transforms into rivers, wings, capes, and cozy corners of comfort.
As the children move, dance, and imagine, these vibrant silks invite open-ended play, nurturing creativity, coordination, and a deep sense of wonder.
In a world so quick to offer screens, we’re softly choosing silks instead—inviting hands to create, minds to wander, and childhood to remain slow, sensory, and beautifully magical. And in between all this, a warm, healthy home-cooked meal brings everyone together—just like home should feel.

Joyfully, we celebrate the warmest days of the year at Summergarten… through little crafts, playful games, and songs kissed by the sun.
Our tots are on a magical journey—floating on the breeze with their creations, dancing with colours, and soaking in the wonder of simple joys.
At Summergarten, our mid-morning meal comes lovingly from the homes of our campers. Each day is one child’s special day—a day to share food made at home, creating a circle of warmth, care, and togetherness.
In a time where gratitude is often forgotten, we gently guide our children to pause, reflect, and offer a prayer for the hands that cooked for us… nurturing hearts that are thankful as well as joyful
Sincere thanks to Mrs. & Mr. Choudhary ( parents of Shaurya Choudhary) for today’s lovingly prepared meal.

Day 3
Today at Summergarten, our morning began with gentle prayers and verses, grounding the children in calmness and gratitude. Carrying that peaceful energy with us, we stepped outdoors to be in nature, where joy unfolded in the simplest ways.
The children delighted in playing together with the parachute, laughter filling the air as it rose and fell like waves. We also brought along our little teddies, making the experience even more comforting and imaginative as they became part of our outdoor adventures.
Surrounded by fresh air and open skies, it was a day of connection, play, and quiet wonder.

On Day 2 of Summergarten, our little gardeners joyfully painted their own pots, adding vibrant colors and personal touches to each creation.
With great excitement, they then sowed seeds into these lovingly decorated pots, learning the gentle art of nurturing life. As they wait in anticipation for the first sprouts to appear, the children are discovering valuable lessons in patience, responsibility, and the wonders of nature.
This hands-on experience beautifully connects creativity with environmental awareness, making learning both meaningful and magical.

Day 1
Our Summergarten was a beautiful celebration of sunshine, laughter, and the simple joys of childhood. Surrounded by nature, the children delighted in hands-on experiences—squeezing fresh lemons, engaging in sensory play, and sharing moments of wonder with their friends.
The gentle rhythm of the day encouraged creativity, independence, and a deep connection with the natural world, perfectly reflecting the essence of summergarten. It was truly a day filled with warmth, exploration, and happy memories that will linger in our hearts.
