The celebration began with a special assembly featuring flag hoisting, the National Anthem, and the Rajya Geet. The Preamble recitation and addresses helped students understand the significance of the day and values of unity and responsibility.

Students participated through speeches in English and Marathi, cultural presentations, and traditional performances like Lezim. Informative segments and felicitation ceremonies enriched the programme and encouraged appreciation for culture.

The celebration concluded on a meaningful note, leaving students inspired and proud. Maharashtra Day strengthened cultural awareness, patriotism, and responsibility towards the nation.

भारताला स्वातंत्र्य मिळाल्यानंतर भाषावार प्रांतरचनेची मागणी जोर धरू लागली. मुंबई महाराष्ट्रालाच मिळावी यासाठी 'संयुक्त महाराष्ट्र चळवळ' उभी राहिली. अनेक वर्षांचा प्रदीर्घ संघर्ष आणि १०५ हुतात्म्यांच्या बलिदानानंतर हक्काचे 'मुंबईसह' महाराष्ट्र राज्य मिळाले आणि १ मे १९६० रोजी स्वतंत्र महाराष्ट्राची निर्मिती झाली.

या लढ्याचे व हुतात्म्यांच्या बलिदानाचे स्मरण आणि ऐतिहासिक विजयाचा गौरव म्हणून आपण दरवर्षी १ मे रोजी अभिमानाने 'महाराष्ट्र दिन' साजरा करतो. हा दिवस केवळ भौगोलिक सीमांचा नसून, तो मराठी भाषा, संस्कृती, परंपरा आणि स्वाभिमानाच्या विजयाचा दिवस आहे.

एमआयटी विश्वशांती गुरुकुल स्कूलमध्ये आम्ही महाराष्ट्राची समृद्ध परंपरा व मूल्ये अभिमानाने जोपासतो. ज्ञानाला संस्कारांची, शिक्षणाला शिस्तीची आणि संस्कृतीला आधुनिकतेची जोड देत विद्यार्थ्यांचा सर्वांगीण विकास घडवतो. यातून विद्यार्थी केवळ यशस्वीच नव्हे, तर जबाबदार आणि अभिमानी नागरिक म्हणून घडतात.
