Manovikas Pune - A School for Special Children Our aim at Manovikas is to help our students become self-reliant and independent members of society.

Founded in 1989 under the aegis of the Poona Women’s Council, Manovikas School caters to intellectually challenged students from economically weaker sections of society. Having started in a small way in 1989 with 1 teacher and 2 students, Manovikas has now grown in strength to 35 students and a total of 10 full-time and part-time staff. Started in 1989 with 1 teacher and 2 students, Poona Women's Council's Mano Vikas is now celebrating its 25th year anniversary. A special school for intellectually challenged students, students at Mano Vikas spend their time reading, writing, learning music, doing art & craft as well as playing various sports.

The Annual day function held on Nov 7, 2015 is one program that is eagerly looked forward to as the students and teachers put together the most magnificent music and dance performances. The program was enjoyed by both the beaming students who were looking forward to performing for the audiences and the audience who was awaiting what the students had in store for them.
