Vastukosh presents a five day exclusive visit to New Delhi to explore the Contemporary Architecture of Delhi. The visit will aim to understand the development of the city from historic times till date with emphasis on the Built Environment and Contemporary Architecture. The week long visit will be like a workshop and suitable to Students of Architecture from all years who want to understand Delhi in its totality & detail.The five day study will focus on the following:

1. Lutyen’s Delhi - The Colonial Grandeur and its relation in today’s context.
2. Le Corbusier in India - Its influence on Contemporary Architecture of Delhi.
3. Concept of Residential Neighborhood - Understanding the trend setting Housing of Delhi.
4. Connaught Place and its Environs - The City Centre and its Multistoried Office Buildings.
5. Contemporary Housing - Yamuna Apartments, Tara Apartments, Press Enclave and DDA.
6. Works of - Joseph Allen Stein, Achyut Kanvinde, Habib Rahman, Jugal Kishore Chowdhury, Shiv Nath Prasad, Charles Correa,Raj Rewal, Kuldip Singh, Ajoy Chowdhury, Ranjit Sabikhi,Jasbir Sachdev, Rosemarry Eggleston, Ram Sharma, Statish Grover, Ravindra Bhan, Mohammad Shaheer, etc.

Part of day well spent at Ar. pradeep sachdeva's office. a rapid sketch made of backyard garden with a 1:1 scale human cycler sculpure leading to the main entrance of campus and steps taking us up with planters on both sides. bricks used in compound jali wall, flooring. simple, decent landscape and informal space around the studio.
