CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus successfully conducted Poetical Theatrics, featuring the theatrical performance “Karam Dand”, organised by The Poet’s Society in collaboration with Yuva Natya Manch (YNM).

The Library & Information Center, in collaboration with the School of Law at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, conducted a training session on “Mastering Legal Research with LexisNexis.”
The session provided participants with practical exposure to using the LexisNexis database for legal research. It covered important aspects such as case law search, statutory research, citation tools, and advanced search techniques.
Participants enhanced their ability to access accurate legal information and apply it effectively in academic and professional contexts. The session also contributed to improving research, analytical, and drafting skills.

The Corporate & IPR Committee at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, in collaboration with Crawford Bayley & Co., conducted the 3rd National MOA and AOA Drafting Competition.
The event provided law students with an opportunity to develop practical skills in corporate law drafting. It began with an engaging workshop by Adv. Bhumika Batra, who guided participants through the key aspects of drafting MOA and AOA.
Participants worked on a problem statement and submitted their drafts, which were evaluated by experts. The competition recognized outstanding entries that demonstrated strong legal reasoning and clarity.

The foundation laying ceremony for the new hostel at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus was successfully conducted on 17 April 2026.
The event began with the blessing of the foundation stone, followed by its placement by the Vice Chancellor, Rev. Dr. Fr. Jose C.C., along with Rev. Dr. Fr. Lijo Thomas, Rev. Fr. Justin P. Varghese, and Mr. H.R. Kuriakose.
The ceremony marked an important step towards enhancing campus infrastructure and providing improved facilities for students.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Akash Chandra to CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. He joined CHRIST as Assistant Professor in the School of Law.
Mr. Akash has an interdisciplinary academic background. He is an engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, and a law graduate from the University of Delhi. He earned his LL.M. with specialisation in Law and Technology from the National Law School of India University Bengaluru.
Before joining CHRIST, he worked at the Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, where he taught Labour Law and Contract Law, and assisted the DPIIT IPR Chair in research and awareness activities. At MNLU Mumbai, he also organised a Certificate Course on ‘Sports Law in India’ in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
He looks forward to teaching and contributing to the University’s academic excellence.
