In the spirited spring of 1993, as I embarked on my engineering journey, I embraced the freedom to express my true self. 🌟

My days at college were a vibrant parade of 𝐀𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢 adventures. From experimenting with a kaleidoscope of fashion choices to standing out with my distinctive style, I made every day a testament to creativity and uniqueness. My ability to switch from a full beard to clean-shaven or just a mustache showcased not just varied looks but the many facets of my personality. 🎭👔

As 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢, my wardrobe spoke volumes, with brightly colored goggles and flamboyant shirts, each piece a stroke on the canvas of my college life. Rangeela movie (around 1995) had inspired me to wear many colorful shirts in college times and for a short stint of time, the fellows called me 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐚 also. My ethnic Punjabi jootis weren't just footwear; they were a cultural statement, a nod to tradition wrapped in modern flair. Each step I took was a splash of color, painting my path in bold, unmistakable strokes. 🌈👟

Living 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐚𝐬 was second nature to me; I thrived in the spontaneity of college life. On stage, my mono acting about the replays of 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was an awesome original idea that was an instant hit among everyone. It was not merely a performance but an enactment of passion. I still have an exceptional literary talent in 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐩𝐨𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐲. My poetry was 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 that some folks plucked out one of my poems from the notice board. They liked it so much that they shared it on the railway station notice board for the larger audience to cherish its joys (pun intended indeed!). Recall that we had no Facebook to like/share the posts in those times. My days were filled with laughter, music, and the joy of living without constraints. 🏏🤹‍♂️

I had been great at 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬... Many would remember that I made a 123 years' calendar with concentric circular discs for date, month, and year to align for a date to look up its day. Some had seen then and even now sometimes how I can write a mirror script, that is I wrote Hindi/English in a way that it could only be read when seen in mirror. Few understood and many were confused and mesmerised when I spoke Hindi in reverse. Each word with reversed syllables and we called this "𝐓𝐢-𝐋-𝐔 𝐒𝐡𝐚-𝐁𝐡𝐚" which meant "𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐢 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐚" (𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒈𝒆). It was much more funny singing Bollywood songs in reverse. My 𝐉𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐚𝐬 nature shone through the spontaneous, witty and lame or poor jokes that earned me the "𝐏𝐉 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠" title in 1994. I wasn't just performing tasks but showcasing a knack for the extraordinary, turning mundane academic challenges into displays of wit and intelligence. My talents made me not just a student but an outstanding, standout character in the narrative of my college years. 🧮🔎

𝘼𝑾𝙎 "𝑹𝙚𝒅" 𝙎𝒉𝙞𝒇𝙩: 𝑨 𝑻𝙚𝒔𝙩 𝙤𝒇 𝑰𝙣𝒕𝙚𝒈𝙧𝒊𝙩𝒚 𝒂𝙣𝒅 𝑹𝙚𝒔𝙤𝒍𝙫𝒆

Back in 2018, I faced one of my biggest challenges yet as the founder of XOR Bit Infotech Pvt. Ltd. XBIPL had bagged a 𝑷𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 for a seemingly great project to provide remote administration support 🔧of a major company’s cloud infrastructure but it turned into a trial by fire. 🌟

Right from the start, it became clear that the job was more than just a support contract; it was a rescue mission from an ongoing performance issue that was not disclosed 🔒 at the outset. I got a database expert professional involved from my network. Despite the complexities, we were determined to make it work. For the longer term, I had proposed a shift to AWS cloud as I was certified on all the 3 AWS Associate level tracks (Solution Architect, Developer, and SysOps), hoping to stabilize and scale their operations effectively. 🌐⚙️

As we worked tirelessly to untangle the issues, AWS swooped in with an attractive offer ✨of cloud credits and support, swaying the client in their favor. Our hard work and strategic planning were suddenly overshadowed, leaving us without a contract or compensation for our efforts. 📉💔

XBIPL had access to and had already started to work with a committed PO on the cloud support but the client’s move to AWS and blunt refusal to recognize our work, "What have I done to be paid anything?" was a bitter pill to swallow, teaching me a valuable lesson about the unpredictable nature of business and to expect some unfair encounters. I believe that true entrepreneurs have ethics and values they will never compromise but businessmen will probably shrewdly someday do.

This was "𝑨𝑾𝑺" + a "𝑹𝒆𝒅" flag + a "𝑺𝒉𝒊𝒇𝒕" from ethical practices that some (even bigger) businesses follow.

On a chilly morning on 04 November 2022, I stood before the funeral pyre of my father, a man whose life story from a gardener to a sepoy to a Lt. Colonel in the Indian Army was as inspiring as it was formidable. 🌟

As the first flame 🔥touched the wood, sparking into life, I was enveloped by memories of his rigorous standards and the life lessons he imparted. He believed in precision in everything—from the way he literally kept every clock ticking to managing finances, embodying the principle that every detail matters. 🕒💵

But as I watched the flames 🔥 rise, I felt a shift 🔀. It was as though the fire was burning away the harsher edges of his personality, revealing the core of who he was: a man of bravery 🦁, a protector 🛡️, and a lifelong learner 🎓who never stopped pursuing knowledge and excellence.

Tears streamed down as I stood watching 👀 the flames 🔥, each flicker reflecting a moment of our shared past, teaching me even in his silence. The grief was palpable, a testament to the depth of his influence on my life. 😢

He often said, "𝑱𝒐 𝑻𝒊𝒔 𝑩𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝑵𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒌𝒂, 𝑺𝒂𝒚𝒊 𝑮𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒊" —reminding us that ultimately, whatever happens is for the best, teaching us to 𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦’𝘴 𝘶𝘯𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦.

It was 2007, a defining moment in my lifelong quest for knowledge. 📚 Since the twilight of my engineering days in the late '90s, fervently digesting every edition of 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙔𝙤𝙪 and 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙭 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙔𝙤𝙪, I had established a tenet: 𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚙𝚎𝚝𝚞𝚊𝚕 𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚗𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝚊𝚍𝚟𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝.

Amid my career, I diligently attended seminars and events, imbibing new trends 📈 and innovations. At one such gathering, I encountered a fellow professional 💼, whose name now eludes me, but whose counsel would indelibly shape my approach to personal and professional growth.

The notion of investing in myself transcended mere financial expenditure; it was about steadfast commitment 🤝to continuous personal enhancement. 🔝 With each subsequent career progression 🔝 and salary 💵 increment, I was poised to invest more, propelling myself towards loftier achievements.

Spurred by that enlightening ⚡️exchange, I wholeheartedly embraced his proposition. From that pivotal year onwards, I pledged to secure at least one professional certification 📜 annually. During the transformative years of 2018 to 2020, as I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey with ample time to dedicate to learning, I accomplished five certifications in just two years.

It was the year 1985. We were living in RK Puram, Secunderabad. At just 9 years old, with my younger brothers aged 7 and 6, we found ourselves home alone on a day that promised adventure.

The sky was a canvas of dark clouds, hinting at the coming storm. As the eldest, I was given a stern warning: n͛͛͛o͛͛͛ ͛͛͛p͛͛͛l͛͛͛a͛͛͛y͛͛͛i͛͛͛n͛͛͛g͛͛͛ ͛͛͛i͛͛͛n͛͛͛ ͛͛͛t͛͛͛h͛͛͛e͛͛͛ ͛͛͛r͛͛͛a͛͛͛i͛͛͛n͛͛͛. Yet, the excitement was palpable, and my brothers looked to me for guidance.

As our parents disappeared down the lane, the heavens opened—a direct challenge to our resolve. The temptation was irresistible; our laughter and rebellious spirit led us straight to the terrace.

There, we danced in the downpour, clothes cast aside, embracing the deluge as it mingled with our wild, carefree giggles. The rain washed away all semblance of rules. 🌧️💃🕺 We were utterly lost in the thrill, embodying the essence of unchecked freedom.

However, our joy was not without consequence. Drenched and shivering, we were soon confronted by our father's stern figure looming in the doorway upon his return. While he merely scolded my brothers, the depth of his disappointment in me was far greater. "𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭," he said, his voice a mix of anger and sorrow. "𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟." 😔
