Library Day 2026: Stories That Inspire

Library Day at Vishwashanti Gurukul World School brought together students from PYP 3, PYP 4, PYP 5, MYP 1 and MYP 2 for a celebration of stories, imagination and the joy of reading.

Our PYP 3–5 students enjoyed an engaging session with a renowned storyteller and puppeteer Akanksha Datta, while MYP 1–2 students interacted with acclaimed children’s writer Vidya Nesarikar.

Through stories, conversations and questions, students discovered the people behind the books and how reading can spark curiosity, creativity and new possibilities.

A wonderful day of bringing young readers and storytellers together!

What if habits had a price tag? 💰

The Wellbeing Department organised a fun and engaging Habit Auction for our 14–16-year-olds—bidding on habits like sleep, revision, consistency, confidence, time management and even procrastination! 😄

The real learning? We often know what is good for us, but our choices reveal what we truly value. When a group spent ₹1000 on procrastination, it sparked exactly the kind of reflection we wanted—why do we sometimes “buy” habits that cost us the most?

A fun activity, lots of raised hands, opinions, laughter - and hopefully a few better choices! 🎯

A school’s threshold becomes strong with its student body. Sowing the seeds of leadership among them bear the fruits of responsibility, courage,trust and dedication not only during their school life but also in their journey in the later life.

Here are some snippets from the momentous occasion of Investiture Ceremony at Vishwashanti Gurukul World School, where the student council had proudly sworn in. As the sashes and badges adorned their uniforms, each council member was endowed with a sense of responsibility and determination to be further exuded among the rest of the student body.

Did you know that National Watermelon Day celebrates one of the world's oldest and most refreshing fruits? Rich in water and nutrients, watermelon is a wonderful way to help children stay hydrated while learning about healthy eating.

At Vishwashanti Gurukul World School,our Early Years Programme (EYP) learners explored the fascinating history of watermelons through engaging classroom activities before enjoying freshly cut watermelon slices together. The celebration encouraged curiosity, healthy food choices, and hands-on learning.

To make the day even more memorable, our young learners created adorable watermelon-themed takeaways to bring home, combining creativity, fine motor skills, and joyful learning.

Through fun celebrations like these, we nurture lifelong healthy habits, creativity, and holistic development in our Preschool, Nursery, Junior KG , and Senior KG classrooms.

🏹 A Proud Moment for Vishwashanti Gurukul World School! 🏆

Excellence takes aim, and our champions have made us proud at the National Field Indoor Archery Championship 2025–26.

🌟 Sharanya Udayan Verma secured 1st Rank in the Individual Single Spot (Under-19) category and a🥈 Silver in the Mixed Category. At just 16 years of age, competing in the Under-19 division, her achievement is truly exceptional.

🥈 Rishi Agarwal added to the glory by winning a Silver Medal in the Team Event.

Their remarkable achievements reflect determination, discipline, and perseverance—the true spirit of champions. Congratulations to Sharanya and Rishi for bringing laurels to the school. Wishing them continued success in the journey ahead!
