Vidya Pratishthan’s Nanded City Public School conducted a meaningful on Blooming Years: Understanding Yourself Better for Grade 9 students, on 15th and 16 th December 2025 by counselor Mrs Poorva Joshi, focusing on the unique challenges of adolescence.
The session helped boys and girls understand the physical, emotional, and social changes they experience during their teenage years.
Students were also guided to recognize that adolescence is a once-in-a-lifetime phase, an age that will not return and that the choices they make today lay the foundation for their future.
Through simple scientific explanations and real-life examples, students learned why emotions can feel intense and how to manage peer pressure, friendships, and emotional ups and downs in a healthy way.
Strong emphasis was placed on valuing time, making mindful decisions, and investing each day wisely in personal growth, learning, and goal-setting.
The session was an empowering experience that encouraged students to take ownership of their present, understand their emotions, and move forward into their blooming years with clarity, responsibility, and confidence.
The initiative reflected the school’s strong commitment to students’ holistic development under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Vandana Joshi, whose continuous support makes such development-oriented programs an integral part of the school culture.

The highlight of the day was when the children tasted the orange. Their faces lit up with joy as they described the flavors – a delightful mix of sweetness and tanginess. This not only added a fun element to the activity but also encouraged the children to share their sensory experiences with their peers.
