A recent visit to the department was an absolute delight. It was inspiring to meet such a bright and enthusiastic group of individuals. My heartfelt thanks to Professor Kashikar (Akanshka) and the department chair, Professor Gedam, for this wonderful opportunity and warm welcome. It was also a great pleasure to meet, Drs. Mohan Kale, and Manik Awale.

Puzzle time (easy one):
Guess the three words used in statistics that contain the triplets (in that order) shown at the end of the post. Numbers in parentheses give you the positions of the letters in each word. These letters should be scrambled to find the final answer. Final answer is also a word (8 letters) used in statistics.
Important: If you find the answer make sure you post it as follows. The first one to post must shift the letters by the number of letters in the first word. For example, if the answer is MEAN and the number of letters in the first word is 3, then you post PHDQ (M+3, E+3, A+3, N+3). The second person should post by shifting by the number of letters in the second word, and the third in the third word. After that (or in a week, whichever comes first) I will reveal the answer.
1. IHO (2, 4) 2. NBI (6,7) 3. MPT (1, 4, 6, 8 ))
