Creativity unleashed. Knowledge celebrated. Brilliance showcased!!

Brainstorming, articulation and confidence took centre stage at Tejomay Interschool Competition hosted by DES Secondary School on 22nd August 2026.

This was the 15th successful year of the event with three competitions namely Group Discussion, T-Shirt painting and Quizzard (General Knowledge competition). These tested the talent, creativity and team-work of the participants who received a tough fight from one another.

Mrs. Vijaya Joshi, Headmistress DES School inaugurated the event.

The first prize as the Best Speaker was bagged by Shaarav Deshpande. The first runner up was Gargi Nijampurkar and the third position was grabbed by Anvay Marathe in Group Discussion Competition. We are proud to share that all 3 participants are from DES Secondary School.

DES School is grateful to Dr. Disha Rajadhyaksh, Mr. Sheebu Nair, Smt. Veena Kenchi and Mr. Kushal Marmade who judged the Group Discussion Competition. We extend our thanks to students of DES - IMDR who judged the preliminary round and selected worthy candidates.

The T-Shirt painting competition was judged by Mr. Nikhil Acharya. The first prize was bagged by Diya Ramdurgkar from DES Secondary School. The first runner up was Shubhra Bhutada from DES Secondary School. The third prize was grabbed by Purvi Kate from Paranjpe Vidya Mandir. The consolation prize was won by Daksh Devkar from Symbiosis School. These students were awarded with a certificate and a gift.

In the later part of the day the students showcased their brilliance, team work and winning spirit in the General Knowledge – Quizzard Competition which was conducted by the Quizmaster Anurag Gangras. DES School is grateful to him for his great efforts and enthusiasm. The first prize was bagged by the hosting school DES Secondary School and won the trophy. The second prize winner is Jnanaprabidhini.

A big thankyou to all the participating schools and the students who performed with great zeal without which the event wouldn’t have been so successful!

On the occasion of National Space day on 24th August Murlidhar Lohia Matrumandir, celebrated National Space Day with immense enthusiasm, transforming the classroom into a vibrant cosmic universe to spark early curiosity about space.

Models of Chandrayaan, Brahmos, 3d model of solar system, satellite, phases of the Moonetc were displayed. Small information about space was given through ppt. A working model of Chandrayaan was also shown to kids. The curiosity of kids to watch and listen to information was very high. This overall space day was enthusiastically held under guidance of respected principal ma'am Mrs Madhuri Barve.

From thought-provoking Group Discussions and imaginative T-Shirt Painting to the thrilling Quizzard, every moment reflected the spirit of learning and healthy competition. 🏆🎨🧠
