गेले ते दिवस राहिल्या त्या आठवणी!!!
सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विद्यापीठाच्या संज्ञापन व वृत्तपत्रविद्या विभागाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांची अभ्याससहल देशाची राजधानी नवी दिल्ली किंवा इतर महत्वाच्या ठिकाणी दरवर्षी आयोजित करण्यात येते. केंद्रीय मंत्री, विविध खात्यांचे उच्च स्तरीय अधिकारी यांच्याशी प्रत्यक्ष भेटीची व संवादाची संधी विद्यार्थ्यांना मिळते. विभागाच्या रविवार ४ फेब्रुवारी २०२४ रोजी झालेल्या माजी विद्यार्थ्यांच्या वार्षिक मेळाव्यात १९७४ च्या तुकडीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांचा विशेष सत्कार करण्यात आला. यातील श्री. दिलीप ओक यांनी त्यांच्या अभ्यास सहली दरम्यान तत्कालीन पंतप्रधान इंदिरा गांधी यांच्याशी भेटीचे छायाचित्र विभागाकडे महत्त्वाची आठवण म्हणून पाठवले आहे. या तुकडीत ज्येष्ठ पत्रकार आल्हाद गोडबोले, सुरेशचंद्र पाध्ये, मराविमंचे माजी जनसंपर्क अधिकारी अरविंद नेरकर, प्रा. रोहिणी पटवर्धन, दिलीप ओक आदींचा समावेश आहे.

नव्या-जुन्या मित्रांचा स्नेहमेळावा!!
सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विद्यापीठाचा संज्ञापन आणि वृत्तपत्रविद्या विभाग हा माध्यमशिक्षणासाठी देशभर नावाजलेला आहे. रानडे इन्स्टिट्यूट म्हणून अनौपचारिक ओळख असलेल्या विभागाचे अनेक माजी विद्यार्थी विविध वृत्तपत्रांचे संपादक, वृत्तवाहिन्यांचे प्रमुख, कॉर्पोरेट कंपन्यांबरोबरच शासकीय खात्यांचे जनसंपर्क प्रमुख आदी महत्त्वाची पदे भूषवत आहेत. डिजिटल माध्यमांतही विभागाचे विद्यार्थी नवनवे प्रयोग करत आपला ठसा उमटवत आहेत. अशा सर्वांनाच विभागाविषयी सतत जिव्हाळा वाटत राहिला आहे. आपल्याबरोबर शिकलेल्या मित्रमैत्रिणींशीही त्यांचे घट्ट नाते आहे.
अशा आपल्या विभागाच्या आजी-माजी विद्यार्थ्यांचा स्नेहमेळावा दरवर्षी मोठ्या उत्साहाने भरतो. यंदा हीरक महोत्सवी वर्षाच्या सांगत आयोजित मेळाव्यासाठी आज रविवार ४ फेब्रुवारी २०२४ संध्याकाळी आपण सर्वांनी आवर्जून यावे, यासाठी आग्रहाचे निमंत्रण.
आम्ही आपली वाट पाहत आहोत.
