Sensory Booth Day
At Kangaroo Kids Preschool, Salunkhe Vihar, we organised Sensory Booth Day.
Our little learners explored the five senses through a variety of fun and engaging hands-on activities.
👅 Sense of Taste
Children experienced different tastes using items like lemon, juice, coffee, polo mint, sugar, and salt. They were introduced to sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and minty flavours.
👃 Sense of Smell
We introduced children to good smells and bad smells using items like flowers, perfume, onion, etc. They learnt to identify pleasant and unpleasant smells through hands-on exploration.
✋ Sense of Touch
They explored different textures such as soft, smooth, rough, bumpy, hard, hot, and cold using various materials.
👀 Sense of Sight
Children observed objects on the mirror table and light table. They also identified different emotions using flashcards and solved simple puzzles.
👂 Sense of Hearing
Little ones enjoyed listening to various sounds made by musical instruments like the tambourine, rattle 🪇, rain stick, and shakers. They also listened to vehicle sounds and identified vehicles such as cars, fire engines, ambulances, trains, and airplanes. 🚗🚒🚑🚂✈️
Through these activities, children gained a clear and meaningful understanding of the five senses in an interactive and enjoyable way.
