SIBM Pune being a student-driven institute, the responsibility of providing additional knowledge to complement academics, lies with the Students’ Council, and is carried out by one of its most dynamic teams, the Corporate Interface Team. We strive to enhance the knowledge of the students about the Industry and provide them with vital insights into the business world. This is accomplished by organi

zing guest lectures, workshops, seminars, conclaves, case-study discussions, etc. throughout the year. These interactions of the students with the best minds of India Inc. have proved to be beneficial to both parties. As a team, we believe that excellence can be achieved only through evolution and innovation. Hence, we constantly try to evolve by taking new initiatives and finding new ways to add value to the life of a student at SIBM Pune. Guest Lectures :-

Guest Lectures are a platform wherein students gain insights into current industry trends and practices. Representatives from various organizations, from diverse sectors, visit the campus and address students from MBA I/II. . The Corporates share their views on upcoming trends in the industry with budding managers and get their unbiased feedback. It is also an opportunity for the students to learn about the best practices in the industry and enrich their knowledge base. Guest lectures are of 1 to 2 hours duration, and are usually followed by an interactive Q&A session. CIT has successfully organized 3 series of guest lectures, namely, Avant-Garde, Imperio & Alpaviram. Some of the eminent speakers were:

Workshops :-

Workshops allow for greater interaction between students and industry experts. They serve as an ideal platform for the students to link theoretical concepts to the practical problems faced by industry. The students benefit immensely from the experience and vast repertoire of knowledge of the speakers and in the process learn about the issues faced by managers in the real world scenario. Initiatives:-

The Praj Maha-Intrapreneur Awards is an annual event organized by Praj Industries Ltd., a global knowledge-based firm with expertise in Bioprocesses and engineering. In association with SIBM Pune, the sole knowledge partner for the awards, the Praj Maha-Intrapreneur Awards endeavours to recognize individuals with intrapreneurial skills within companies, NGOs and government organizations, who undertake the responsibility of converting ideas into profitable ventures. SIBM Pune, as the knowledge partner, is essentially the driving force for the awards at every stage of the competition. Case Studies:-

Experience is the best teacher -- and the case method packs more experience into every hour of learning than any other instructional approach. At SIBM Pune, we firmly believe that the best way for a management student to test his/her potential to deal with the corporate world is by dealing with situations that require him/her to make critical strategic decisions for the organisation. This is precisely what the Case Study Method propagates. In case discussions, students are introduced to the reality of decision making -- including incomplete information, time constraints, and conflicting goals -- giving them first-hand experience in analyzing business situations. Case studies stimulate the students' thinking, challenge their capabilities, and prepare them for future managerial decision-making. This teaching methodology encourages students to think of various ways of handling complex issues, and helps them learn the nuances of decision-making in business and the challenges that managers face every day at work. Cricket Conclave:-

Organised by the Corporate Interface Team at SIBM Pune, Cricket Conclave aims to bring together stalwarts from the field of Cricket at SIBM Pune for an insightful and thought-provoking interaction, where the pressing issues in the sport are dissected, discussed and debated with the students. Given the current scenario, it is imperative that students get an opportunity to interact with some of the established names in the sport, and learn about its finer nuances. From a business viewpoint, it is vital that they gain insight on what drives these models and how as future managers students can benefit from the
emerging field of sports management. Other Activities:-

CIT co-ordinates certain other activities on campus, including:
• Mahindra & Mahindra War Room’s campus round. The War Room is a strategy making game for the students involving case studies analysis.
• Mahindra & Mahindra Auto Quotient. The Mahindra Auto Quotient is India's biggest auto quiz, organized by Mahindra & Mahindra in association with NDTV.

Mr. Chatterjee was closely involved in the rollout and ex*****on of Reliance Infocomm Limited in 2003 and Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited in 2016. Mr. Rathi has over 13 years of experience in Marketing (in India and International), Corporate Strategy, Marketing and Sales Leadership, Business Development, Managing Alliance Partners and Consulting in Healthcare industry. He is an alumnus of Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA. He has received an award for his exceptional leadership during the India long-range project in Eli Lilly. Currently, he is working on his objective to expand the reach of Lilly medicines to more doctors and patients.

In his 15 years of banking career, Mr. Kumar has built and delivered a robust, sustainable and profitable business in complex Semi-Urban, Rural, and Agri India. He was also a key figure in setting up the Agri SME business in his previous organisation, Kotak Mahindra Bank. In a career spanning 24 years, Mr. Kumar has also established a strong sales profile in the lubricant and automotive sectors with companies like Castrol, Total and Mahindra and Mahindra.
