In China, this Aamir Khan masterpiece is called 《摔跤吧！爸爸》 (Shuāijiāo ba! Bàba).

Literal Meaning: It translates to “Let’s Wrestle, Dad!”, hitting that emotional family theme perfectly.

The “Baba” Connection: One reason it felt so “local” to Chinese viewers? The Mandarin word for Dad is 爸爸 (Bàba).
