Greetings from ELAN

The Loyola Football Cup is back!
21st Sept. 2019. ⚽️

It gives us immense pleasure to announce to you, that Loyola High School and ELAN are hoisting the 6th edition of the Loyola Football Cup this year, in the month of September 2018. The tournament will kickoff on the 21st September, Friday and the finals will be played around 6th of October 2018. Request you all to try your best to be present for the Opening Ceremony and grace the occasion at Loyola school ground, on 21 Sept. at 9 a.m.

This edition of the tournament will feature 16 Teams, consisting of 4 Groups A,B,C,D of 4 teams each for the age groups in the Under 12, Under 14 & the Under 16 Category known to all of us as Mini, Juniors & Seniors previously. The following schools will be participating in the tournament this year:

Loyola High School
Vidya Bhavan High School

St. Vincent High School
Orchids
SSPMS (Day)
Agnels School Loni
JN Petit School
Vidya Valley High School
SSPMS (Boarding)
Infant Jesus
St. Patricks School
Agnels School Hadapsar

We request all Ex Loyolites to come forward and contribute for the event. We had a overwhelming response and support from the Ex Loyolites for the tournament last year and the year before. The expenses required for the tournament to be hosted would be around Rs. 2.7 Lakhs this year. The payments may be made to ELAN.

Did you know ... (Retd.) Major Menezes donated the Riklin cup (named after Fr. Maximilian Riklin S.J., a former principal of St. Vincent’s High School). He was in charge of the Civil Department of the Society of Jesus.
The Riklin cup still remains as one of the most prestigious cup in football tournament in between Loyola and Vincent's. This cup is not played anymore.
