🌊 “My River – My Responsibility” Gallery Now Open at Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park & Planetarium 🌊

The grand inauguration of the unique river-themed gallery was held on 08th December 2025 at the Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park and Planetarium, developed in collaboration with Jaldindi Pratishthan and supported by Willow Mather and Platt.
We are proud to share that our Director IICMR-Dr. Abhay Kulkarni, proposed the Vote of Thanks, appreciating the efforts of all contributors and emphasizing the role of educational institutions in promoting environmental responsibility.

Adding to the learning experience, MBA 1st Year students of IICMR attended the program as part of an industry visit to the Science Park, where they explored the gallery, enhanced their knowledge about river conservation, sustainability, and experienced learning beyond the classroom.

Heartfelt appreciation to Shri Rajeev Bhawsar, Shri Shirish Pandav, and the dedicated Jaldindi team for creating Maharashtra’s only river-focused gallery, now open for everyone.

A meaningful day filled with learning, inspiration, and environmental awareness.

We are proud to share that our respected Director received a prestigious award from OHR, presented by the extraordinary Ms. Rahibai Soma Popere, fondly known as the 🌱.

A proud recipient of the and Award, Ms. Popere inspired everyone by sharing her remarkable journey, the challenges she overcame, and how perseverance, purpose, and dedication shaped her path. Her words were truly motivating and humbling.

The event also provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with HR professionals from various industries, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights—making it a meaningful learning experience for the MBA @ IICMR fraternity.

Inter Institute Book Review Competition
In Commemoration of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s Birth Anniversary
“Reading Inspiration Day” (वाचन प्रेरणा दिन)

The IICMR Knowledge Centre, successfully organized an Inter Institute Book Review Competition on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, India’s most inspiring scientist and former President. The event was held on Wednesday, 15th October 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the IICMR Knowledge Centre.
Condolence Tribute
Before commencing the program, a heartfelt 2-minute Shraddhanjali (condolence silence) was observed in memory of the late mother of Dr. Abhay Kulkarni, Director, IICMR. All dignitaries, faculty members, and students paid their respects with utmost reverence.

Conclusion
The event not only celebrated Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s legacy but also successfully instilled a love for reading and critical thinking among students and faculty members. The IICMR Knowledge Centre extends heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, volunteers, and NDLI Club members for their support in making Reading Inspiration Day a memorable success.

Student Development Program (SDP) – Diwali Festival: Consumer Spending Forecast
MBA@IICMR organized an SDP on “Diwali Festival: Consumer Spending Forecast”, where students showcased their understanding of marketing and business analytics through impressive presentations. The event was judged by Dr. Sudhir Hasamnis and received constant support from Dr. Abhay Kulkarni, along with guidance from all faculty members for their respective groups.

After an engaging session, Team Vision 6 (guided by Dr. Sarita Samson) was declared the Winner, while Team Orchid (guided by Sheetal Mane) secured the Runner-up position. The program successfully combined festive spirit with practical business learning.

सिद्धहस्त लेखक श्री जयप्रकाश झेंडे ह्यांनी लिहिलेल्या रतन टाटा - एक कर्मयोगी ह्या पुस्तकाचा प्रकाशन सोहळा आज आकुर्डी येथील IICMR ह्या मॅनेजमेंट इन्स्टिट्यूट मध्ये एका सुनियोजित आणि बहारदार समारंभात संपन्न झाला.

श्री झेंडे ह्यांचे हे २६वे पुस्तक. युवकांना मार्गदर्शन करणारी मॅनेजमेंट वरील मराठीतील अनेक पुस्तके त्यांच्या नावावर आहेत. टाटा समूहात ३० वर्षे नोकरी केल्यामुळे साहजिकच त्यांना श्री JRD टाटा ह्यांच्या वर पुस्तक लिहिण्याची प्रेरणा मिळाली, ज्याचा उत्तम खप झाला आणि त्या नंतर टाटा घराण्याचा असाधारण वारसा चालवणाऱ्या श्री रतन टाटा ह्यांच्यावरचे आताचे हे पुस्तक.

JRD ह्यांच्याप्रमाणेच रतन टाटा ह्यांचे कार्य अतुलनीय आहे, आणि मोठ्या व्यापक स्वरूपाचे आहे, परंतु श्री झेंडे ह्यांनी हे शिवधनुष्य उत्तम रित्या पेलले आहे. माहिती गोळा करण्यासाठी संशोधन, अनेक व्यक्तींच्या मुलाखती, पुण्यातील टाटा संग्रहालयाला दिलेल्या भेटी ह्याद्वारे अतिशय परिश्रमपूर्वक माहिती गोळा करत त्यांनी हे चरित्र फुलवले आहे. श्री टाटा ह्यांनी टाटा समूहाचे काम झपाट्याने पुढे नेताना त्यांनी दाखवलेले अगणित गुणविशेष, संघर्ष हाताळताना त्यांची खंबीर भूमिका, नवनिर्मितीचा ध्यास दाखवत अनेक नव नवीन क्षेत्रात, नॅनो सारख्या प्रकल्पात घेतलेली उडी, परदेशातील नामांकित कंपन्यांची मालकी टाटा समूहाकडे आणताना त्यांनी दाखवलेली धाडसी वृत्ती, कामगार कर्मचारी वर्गाबद्दल असलेली आपुलकी आणि प्रेम, आणि सगळ्यात महत्वाचे म्हणजे त्यांची देशप्रेमी वृत्ती आणि सामाजिक कार्य ह्यांसारख्या अनेक गोष्टींची तपशीलवार माहिती ह्या पुस्तकात आहे.

सुप्रसिद्ध लेखक श्री बाबा भांड ह्यांनी ५० वर्ष अगोदर चालू केलेल्या साकेत प्रकाशन ह्या संस्थेतर्फे हे पुस्तक प्रकाशित होत आहे आणि महाराष्ट्रभर पसरलेल्या अनेक विपणन केंद्रात हे पुस्तक उपलब्ध राहील. ७०० हून जास्त लेखकांची २२०० हून जास्त पुस्तके साकेत प्रकाशन तर्फे आत्तापर्यंत प्रकाशित झाली आहेत अशी माहिती, साकेत प्रकाशनाच्या सौ प्रतिमा भांड ह्यांनी ह्या प्रसंगी दिली. श्री रतन टाटा ह्यांच्या कामाबद्दल तर भरपूर माहिती उपलब्ध आहेच पण माणूस म्हणून रतन टाटा कसे होते, त्यांची भावनिक बाजू, विचारप्रक्रिया, सहकारी कर्मचारी वर्ग ह्याबद्दलची त्यांची वागणूक अशा गोष्टी आशयघनता असलेल्या ह्या पुस्तकातून तुम्हाला जाणवेल अशी ग्वाही देखील दिली.

कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजक डॉ अभय कुलकर्णी जे IICMR ह्या इन्स्टिट्यूटचे डायरेक्टर आहेत त्यांनी कार्यक्रमास उपस्थित असलेल्या अनेक विद्यार्थ्यांना हे पुस्तक मार्गदर्शक ठरेल असा सल्ला दिला आणि "वाचाल तर वाचाल" हा संदेश देखील दिला.

पुस्तकाचे प्रकाशन ज्यांच्या हस्ते झाले ते श्री जितेंद्र जोशी हे एक मराठी उद्योगपती आहेत. वयाच्या ३४व्या वर्षी एका मोठ्या कंपनीचे MD राहिलेल्या जोशी सरानी नंतर अभी इंडस्ट्री हा उद्योग सुरू केला आणि गेल्या १५ वर्षात हा उद्योग समूह भारतात तसेच परदेशात अनेक क्षेत्रात झपाट्याने वाढला असून त्यांच्या उद्योगसमूहात १० हजारहून अधिक कर्मचारी आहेत. त्यांच्यासारख्या धडाडीच्या मराठी उद्योगपती हस्ते रतन टाटा ह्यांच्या वरचे मराठी पुस्तक प्रकाशित होणे हा एक मणिकांचन योगच. वयाच्या पंचाहत्तरी नंतर श्री झेंडे अजूनही कार्यमग्न होऊन समाजाचे देणे देत आहेत ह्याचे त्यांनी मनापासून कौतुक केले आणि पुस्तकाला शुभेच्छा दिल्या.

🎯 TOPS Convention 2025 @ IICMR – A Grand Success! 🎯

We are proud to share that the Indian Society for Quality (ISQ) – Pune Chapter, in collaboration with the MBA Department, IICMR, successfully organized the TOPS Convention 2025 on 10th October 2025 at our Nigdi Pradhikaran campus.

The event witnessed an incredible turnout with 264 participants and 80 product & service teams presenting their quality improvement projects, best practices, and case studies — creating a vibrant platform for industry–academia collaboration and knowledge sharing. 🌟

The convention was inaugurated by Mr. Prem Gajpal (Director – Operations, Advik Hi-Tech Pvt. Ltd.), and the valedictory address was delivered by Mr. Manoj Kolhatkar (Managing Director & CEO, TATA AutoComp Systems Ltd.).

👏 Under the leadership of Mr. Parag Auty (Chairman, ISQ Pune Chapter) and Mr. Devraj Chattaraj (Chairperson, TOPS Convention 2025), the event achieved outstanding success.

A special appreciation to Dr. Abhay Kulkarni, Director – IICMR, for his constant support and encouragement, and to Ms. Sheetal Mane & Ms. Dipti Bajpai for their exceptional coordination.
