“Inspiring Leadership, Shaping Futures: Lead Fest 2026 at City Pride School, Nigdi”

City Pride School, Nigdi, recently hosted “Lead Fest 2026” on 11th April, showcasing the leadership skills of students from Standards III to X. The principles from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey were thoughtfully and meticulously presented by both students and teachers across these grades.
The event commenced with an inauguration graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Directors Dr. Ashwini Kulkarni and Dr. Deepali Sawai; Principals of various branches—Dr. Kanchan Deshpande, Ms. Suja Rajesh, and Ms. Sumedha Phadke; Vice Principal Ms. Nisha Panicker; and special guests Dr. Kannan Gireesh, who played a pivotal role in initiating the Leader in Me program at the school, along with Dr. Ritu Roy.
A unique highlight of the inauguration was the symbolic sowing of a “Vision Box” by the Student Lighthouse members in a pot. This thoughtful gesture represented aspirations to be nurtured and revisited over the next five years, serving as a reminder of the journey’s beginning. The plant sown alongside it signifies the growth and development of budding leaders in the years to come.
The audience had the opportunity to explore and gain insights into several key themes, including Proactive Language, Attentive Listening, Celebrating Differences, Courage and Consideration, Stop Stalling, and the Winning Hand.
Students also demonstrated how the 7 Habits are integrated into their daily academic subjects such as English, Hindi, Marathi, Science, Social Science, German, Sanskrit, and Mathematics. These concepts were creatively presented through engaging activities like Snake and Ladder games, relay activities, role plays depicting the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, science experiments, and more.
The Student Lighthouse leaders, including the Head Boy and Head Girl, confidently presented the 4DX Model—the Four Disciplines of Execution—highlighting its relevance and application.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from parents, who attended in large numbers and thoroughly appreciated the presentations. They also received meaningful takeaways in the form of wristb
