The driver can set the cruise control with the cruise switches, which usually consist of ON, OFF, RESUME, SET/ACCEL and COAST. These are commonly located on the steering wheel or on the windshield wiper or turn signal stalk. The SET/ACCEL k**b sets the speed of the car. One tap will accelerate it by 1 mph, two by 2 mph and so on. Tapping the k**b in the opposite direction will decelerate the vehicle. As a safety feature, the cruise control system will disengage as soon as you hit the brake pedal.

WHY THE COLOR OF TYRE IS BLACK :-
Although the natural colour of rubber is a milky white, the black colour we see is because of carbon black.Actually Carbon Black is not added as a coloring agent,it is a filler.

Vulcanized rubber does not have very good wear resistance and hence a tire made of pure vulcanized rubber would wear out soon.
Carbon Black also increases the damping properties of rubber, thus transferring less shock loads to the automobile.
In addition to this Carbon Black is a good conductor of heat and would help conduct heat away from the surface with contact to the road and help maintain a healthy tire temperature.
An added bonus is that addition of carbon black increases the coefficient of friction with the road surface thus making it safer to drive.

Baja SAE is an intercollegiate design competition run by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Teams of students from universities all over the world design and build small off-road cars. The cars all have engines of the same specifications. As of 2014 the engine has been an unmodified Briggs & Stratton Intek 20 single-cylinder with a displacement of 305cc and power output of approximately 10 bhp (7.5 kW).

The goal in Baja SAE racing is to design, build and race off-road vehicles that can withstand the harshest elements of rough terrain. The vehicles used in Baja SAE racing are often similar in appearance to dune buggies. Before 2007, the events were called "Mini Baja."

Google Driverless Cars

On the onset of winter break, on December 23, Google announced its first fully functional driverless car, which is ready for testing on public roads. Prior to this, the Internet giant developed various prototypes that lacked on different fundamental and functional aspects.

In an automatic transmission, the hydraulically operated control systems are managed electronically by the vehicle’s computerinstead of the clutch and gear stick. All the driver has to do is shift the selector from Park (P) or Neutral (N), into Drive (D), and the gear shifting will take place automatically and smoothly, without any additional input from the driver under normal driving conditions.
