8 students from BJGMC,PUNE (4UG and 4PG) were selected for *FOUNDATIONS OF ONCOLOGY COURSE - SUMMER SCHOOL IN ONCOLOGY 2018* held between 7th May 2018 to 18th May 2018 at Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai.
From this Program Jinisha Jain (UG) and Dr.Prateek Joshi (PG) are selected as Tata scholars for observership in oncology at Kings Medical College, London.

The attack on the two surgical residents at JJ Hospital by a patient's relatives is horrific. Of the two, one was a female resident, who had just joined JJ for her postgraduate in surgery. Merely 17 days into her residency, she was *kicked and punched* till she turned blue and black. The female resident was our very own student from *BJGMC*- *Dr. Shalmali Dharmadhikari*. She is now admitted in the hospital and is currently in the state of shock. Her senior resident has suffered multiple injuries and fractures too. Is this how it's going to happen every time? How have people stooped so low that they don't even realize how barbaric their actions are? This act of inhumanity has struck a blow to the two residents. Residents, doctors work 24*7 just to make sure that you get better. Imagine working all day without sleep, skipping meals every other day and receiving THIS as the fruit of your work. It's time for the medical fraternity to fight against this injustice.

Mumbai: Deceased patient’s relatives attack resident doctors at JJ hospital, 4 arrested Police said resident doctors Shalmali Dharmadhikari (24) Atish Parikh (32) were attacked by Zahira’s relatives after she died on Friday. The incident allegedly took place after the relatives complained that the patient was not being taken care of.
