To ensure our classrooms remain sanctuaries of absolute trust, security, and care, our educators recently gathered for a vital, intensive training session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, led by Kirti Dini in collaboration with Foundation For Child Protection - Muskaan.

Equipping our teachers with crucial awareness and legal insights, this enriching session highlighted our collective responsibility to protect every child below 18 years from sexual offences and ensure their safety, dignity, and well-being. By mastering clear reporting and response procedures, our faculty learned how to create a safe, respectful, and child-friendly learning environment—ensuring that every unspoken fear is noticed, every vulnerable voice is protected, and every child is sheltered with unwavering vigilance and empathy.

"When the Minions take over the big screen, the laughs are guaranteed and the smiles are endless! 😄🍌"

As part of our ongoing 30th Founders Day celebrations, we decided to trade our usual classrooms for something extra special and super fun! We booked an entire theater exclusively at INOX, Royal Heritage Mall, Pune, and rolled out the red carpet for our amazing students from Grades 3 to 7, NIOS (Grades 8, 9, and 10), and SDC Levels 2 and 3 to SVI block.

From the second the lights went down and those hilarious little yellow troublemakers popped up on screen, the theater erupted into absolute joy, contagious laughter, and endless cheers. Sitting side-by-side with their friends and teachers, with popcorn in hand and excitement in the air, our students had the absolute time of their lives watching the Minions movie.

Because what is a milestone celebration without a little bit of mischief, a lot of popcorn, and memories that make us smile from ear to ear? 🍿💛🎬

We are thrilled to embark on our first training in an ongoing year-long collaborative project with Snehadhara Foundation (Bangalore)!

As part of this comprehensive initiative, the Snehadhara team recently conducted their intensive two-day training session with our teachers across all institutes. The first half of their days was dedicated to observing and directly conducting special classes for our Junior Block students from Sunderji Institute of Special School. They conducted Voice & Story, Play & Movement an Drama based on Story, which were designed specifically for the grade and the challenges of its students.

Then the day was followed by in-depth faculty sessions guided by our wonderful Snehadhara facilitators, Sumathi Ramjee and Sindhu Eswaran, and Shreya Talwar.

Through hands-on art forms, music, movement, drama, and storytelling, our educators explored alternative modes of communication to connect more deeply with neurodivergent children and enhance classroom participation. It is an inspiring start to a long-term journey that reminds us how art speaks louder than words!

What is a leader? 💫

Is it someone who manages the present, or who creates the space for the future?

To commemorate our 30th Founder’s Day, the leadership team at Sunderji’s Global Academia stepped away for a transformative two-day retreat to explore that very question.

Why was this retreat needed?

Because true leadership requires stepping back to evaluate where we stand and where we are heading.

Through tailored group modules and direct 1:1 interactions, facilitators Shilpa Solanki and Roshan Dhariwala from The Harmony Tree, Pune, created an individualized experience that met every participant - focusing on deep, human-centered shifts.

The event pushed each leader in:

- Communication: Replacing hesitation into diving into hard conversations with intention.

- Connection & Empathy: Unpacking internal narratives into a unified, trust-filled collective.

- Presence & Authenticity: Stepping out of self-doubt to alignment of their tone, body language, and style, fully owning their space as confident decision-makers.

Capturing moments from our SGA × Orbis Educator Empowerment Workshop! Phase 1 marked 30 hours of immersive, strategy-led learning where teachers stepped into experiential strategy labs, analyzed real classroom case studies, and learned actionable tools for inclusive teaching.

From understanding the "Wandering Mind" (ADHD) and "Different Communicator" (Autism) to mastering inclusive lesson accommodations, our educators are now taking these tools directly into their classrooms. With structured observation, teaching aids, and ongoing Q&A mentorship, we're making sure every strategy sticks!

At the Pune Mirror office, we had a meaningful discussion on the rapidly evolving landscape of cyber crimes and digital threats that impact our daily lives.

Swapnali Shinde, Senior Police Inspector with the Pune Police Cyber Crime Cell, shared valuable and practical insights on rising cyber threats such as financial frauds, identity theft, and online harassment. She emphasized that awareness is our strongest first line of defense.

In today’s digital era, staying informed and cautious is essential. For any cyber-related concerns, the national helpline 1930 provides immediate support and assistance.

Inspector Shinde’s clarity and strong approach to cyber law enforcement remind us that digital safety requires constant awareness and responsibility. Her guidance offers practical steps that every citizen should know.

For many parents, understanding their child’s progress can be challenging.💙

There are questions, uncertainties, and a constant need for the right guidance.

At Sunderji Institute of Special School, our Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) was designed to address exactly this — with clarity, structure, and practical insights.✨

The session included a Music Therapy activity, where both students and parents participated together. This helped parents observe and understand how therapy techniques are used to improve focus, interaction, and overall engagement.✨

During the PTM, teachers provided detailed updates on:

✔ Individual progress and improvements
✔ Areas that require continued support
✔ Practical strategies that can be followed at home
✔ Clear next steps for the child’s development

In addition, interactive games and activities were conducted to give parents a hands-on understanding of the learning approach used with children.

The focus was simple — not just sharing information, but ensuring that parents leave with clarity, confidence, and direction.

Because consistent progress becomes more effective when parents and educators work together with the same approach. 💙
