A Passionate Decade Of Teaching Pilots To Fly
On 03 November 2007, the then Aviation Minister Praful Patel inaugurated India's first and only mobile flight simulator at a sleepy hamlet at the foothills of the mighty Shivajian fort of Sinhgadh near Pune.
Since then, we have trained over 360 professional pilots who have found flying jobs across the world, scores of defence service pilots, hundreds of NDA cadets, military school girls, and Pune University MTech students. We are honoured that we have touched thousands of lives directly and many more indirectly.
We stand today at the 10-year-mark with an understandable pride, the primary feeling that overwhelms us is actually gratefulness. We are humbled by the love and support of greats like Kumar Ketkar (senior journalist), Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar (world-renowned scientific thinker), and Dr.Deepak Kulkarni (Dean, DY Patil Dental College), who serve on our board as Trustees, but aren't alone in showering their affection on this endeavour.
We would like to invite all those who have associated with us in the past (including those who have been part of the struggle to get justice to our late son, Flt Lt Abhijeet Gadgil's memory) to get in touch with us on this happy occasion, and perhaps drop in for a cup of tea under the shade of the mango trees that were planted a decade ago, just like this dream of being a mentor-guide to the pilot community of young India.
Once again: thank you.
