This is to inform you that as per the latest guidelines issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, a revised Three-Language Formula will be implemented from the academic year 2026–2027.

🔹 Key Highlights of the New Policy:

Three Languages Mandatory:Students will study three languages from Class 6 onwards.

Two Indian Languages Compulsory:Out of the three languages, at least two must be Indian languages.

Flexible Language Choice:Students will have the flexibility to choose languages. No particular language has been made compulsory.

English as Third Language Option:English will be treated as a language option and can be selected as the third language.

R1, R2, R3 Structure:Languages will be categorized as R1 (First Language), R2 (Second Language), and R3 (Third Language).

Mandatory Passing Criteria:Students must pass in all three languages in Classes 9 and 10.

Language Change Option:Students may be allowed to change one language in Class 6 or 7, subject to school guidelines.

🎯 Objective of the Policy:

The new language policy aims to promote multilingualism, enhance communication skills, and encourage cultural understanding among students.
