MIT-WPU’s School of Public Policy and Public Concern for Governance Trust (PCGT) is jointly organizing the “Late B G Deshmukh Memorial Lecture Series” with the theme- “Governance and Administrative Reforms: Challenges and Opportunities”.

The Annual Public Lecture Series has been instituted in the honour of Late Shri B. G. Deshmukh, IAS, Former Cabinet Secretary, Government of India and Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. The basic objective behind the Annual Public Lecture Series is to explore and enlighten the youth and public about the challenges in governance in India.

The Session will include address by the Special Guest of Honour Dr. Sanjeev Chopra – IAS (Retd.) Former Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) will speak on topic - Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav: Steel frame ‘then’, ‘now’ and for the ‘future’ and the Keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Hasmukh Adhia - IAS (Retd.), Hon’ble Chancellor, Central University of Gujarat will address on the topic ‘Good Governance’.

Amb. Virendra Gupta addressed the faculties and students on Demystifying India's Foreign Policy at MIT-WPU's School of Public Policy. The event was part of the lecture series organized by the Government of India as part of the 75th Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. It shed a light on controversial relationships among USA, China, India and Pakistan. Emphasizing that India must respect its small nation neighbors to be able to secure its borders.
