On 5th June 2015 being A World Environment Day. V.B. Foundation's divisions i.e. Vikramditya Academy (www.vacademy.in), MOFF (www.moffindia.org) & Shashwat Organics (www.shashwatorganics.com) celebrated World Environment Day by hosting an educational tour of students of City International School-Pune at Shashwat Farms in Valley of Ovhale. This place is just 45km away from Pune City also known for having vary rarest species of medical herbs and plants mentioned in Ayurveda. This study tour was guided by Dr. Desai and Ms. Vaishali Gadgil Madam. Students were thrilled to experience organic farming mechanism in depth and took oath to eat organic food.

The Need

Typically a child spends his/her time in:

School
Tuitions,
Hobby classes,
Playing video games
Watching TV
Surf the Internet
Chating on Whatsapp and facebook.
Technology is a boon and bane, it cuts both ways. The new found addictions are limiting the imagination of the generation and making their thinking unidirectional. If we all go back to our childhood we will notice the circle of life shrinking around us! The globalization has actually shrunk our immediate surroundings!

We need to give our future generation similar exposure that we enjoyed.

A circle of life is complete, when we GIVE back, what we TAKE from this universe.

Now Imagine our children……

The “Circle of Life” is a series of workshops, designed in consultation with the society’s stake holders, mainly teachers, parents, industry. We have also taken inputs from students, child psychologist, therapists, counsellors on student’s overall development needs.

Circle of Life, has 3 levels.

Level 1: Aimed to engage the children constructively during holidays, especially for the children whose parents are working. This program will open many doors of possibility for the child thereby increasing his curiosity and interest levels in a subject. This program will also bring in sense of responsibility & basic discipline in the boys and girls. This program will introduce the dimension of empathy towards nature and living being in otherwise largely virtual world of today’s kids.

Level 2: Aimed at skill development and focus. This program will be dwelling into the details of the subjects covered in Level 1. This program will improve the organization and planning skills of the individual, teach them dynamics of team and team work. This program will be an excellent ground for gender equality through projects/assignments.

Level3: Aimed at leadership development and social entrepreneurship. This program will teach the principles of crowd sourcing, social capital, physical networking, resource management and importance of 3Rs (recycle, reuse and reduce). All this is achieved through Social projects.
