Prof. Aneeta Gokhale Benninger, Executive Director of CDSA, inaugurated a multi-medium art exhibition by , curated by Prof. Gauri Bharat of . The artwork was created as part of the "Doshi We Know" fellowship program.
This exhibition beautifully captures the narratives, processes, and diverse materials involved in the creation of buildings.

At the Centre for Development Studies and Activities, we mourn the passing of our president Prof. Dr. Christopher Charles Benninger (1942 – 2024).
He was a master architect, visionary planner and torchbearer of Principles of Intelligent Urbanism. He was a great institution builder and inspiring teacher.
His ‘people friendly’ and ‘non-monumental’ building design along with his principals of professional integrity will remain an inspiration for coming generations of professionals.

1 August, 2023 marks the significant milestone of a journey started 47 years back with a dream. A dream to create a pioneering institution in a field of sustainable development planning. An institution which will be engaged in professional practice, conducting research and developing generic methodologies along the way.
It also started its educational wing with an aim to create a cadre of professionals who have the skills, knowledge and sensitivities in the area of convergent planning, keeping pluralism in planning alive.
Today, CDSA has come a long way in its journey from a nascent initiative started back in 1976. With its vast experience, meaningful partnerships, CDSA stands tall and looks forward to its journey towards upcoming milestones..
