AdVent

The Aspirant Relations Team is involved in the branding process of SIBM Pune. One such activity in this process is coming up with creative write-ups and ideas for the SIBM Pune advertisement during SIBM Pune’s admission season. AdVent is a platform for all the students of the incoming batch of SIBM Pune to come up with creative ideas and advertisements which are forwarded to the Director to be used by the institute in all publications. B-Quizzed @ SIBM Pune

B-Quizzed @ SIBM is a national level business quiz conceptualized by the ART at SIBM Pune aimed at all undergraduate (UG) students and MBA aspirants to provide them with a glimpse into the business world. The event positions itself as a ‘Business Quiz, Redefined’ and is lauded as one of the toughest and the highest standard business quizzes in the country. Last year saw 643 teams from various colleges and corporate organizations participate and prizes worth INR 45,000. Coffee with SIBM

Coffee with SIBM, conducted by the ART is an informal interactive, doubt solving, Q&A event conducted in various cities across the country. The biggest aspirant engagement initiative among all B-schools in the country, CWS 2012 was conducted in 22 cities and 24 venues across the country in December 2012, right before the SNAP test. A 30 member team covered 20 states and more than 15000 km over 2 weekends to make sure that every city which has a SNAP test center was covered and we saw more than 6000 aspirants attend the event. The primary task that is allotted to the ART is the ex*****on of the Admissions Process for full-time MBA. The Admissions Process is undertaken every year by the team and the process is completely and comprehensively designed, planned and executed by it. The admissions process comprises of two phases:

Buddy Program

Each candidate who is shortlisted for the GD/PI process after the SNAP test is assigned a Buddy as soon as the shortlist comes out. A Buddy is a student in the current first year. The Buddy acts as a Single Point of Contact for the shortlisted candidates. The main intention of the Buddy Program is to clarify all doubts in the minds of aspirants and clear their apprehensions before the GD/PI Process. Buddies send timely mails and reminders on process deadlines to the short listed candidates. They also facilitate faster communication between the shortlisted candidates and the Aspirant Relations Team. Admissions Process

The admissions process, a week long process, designed and conducted completely by the ART, is a time when the whole institute, be it the faculty, the students or the administrative staff, comes together and works really hard to make sure that the incoming aspirants have the smoothest GD/PI process possible. This year’s admissions process saw a team of 150 students work with the ART to ensure a smooth and a glitch-free process over 6 days, 12 slots and 1300 aspirants. The SIBM Pune admissions process has been consistently reviewed as one of the best in the country by the aspirants. Sizzlers and Silhouettes

A unique online communication initiative, Sizzlers and Silhouettes, through online magazines created by the ART (usually sent along with the Buddy Program emails) updates aspirants about the latest activities on campus (Sizzlers) and the faculty and the batch profile for the various specializations (Silhouettes) thus enabling them to learn more about the student-mix and the activities in our institute. OnBoarD SIBM Pune

OnBoarD SIBM Pune is an informal platform designed to get all the students, who made it to the final merit list, together. Created and monitored by the ART, it includes online social networking sites where newly-admitted students can get a wealth of information regarding SIBM Pune academics, infrastructure and campus life by interacting with seniors. They get to meet and know their batch mates as well as seniors and it provides them the perfect platform to get all their queries/doubts resolved before they come to SIBM Pune. City Meets

Informal meets are organized in various cities in the months before the aspirants (now students of SIBM Pune) begin their two year journey at SIBM Pune. Students from the senior batch meet and interact with the incoming junior batch, giving them an opportunity to learn first-hand about life at SIBM Pune, before the classroom sessions begin. iAspire

SIBM’s unique, one of its kind, student-designed and operated, initiative is a comprehensive one-stop platform for aspirants who seek to pursue an MBA at any of the leading institutes of the country. The portal provides preparatory material for the entrance tests, interactive forums to address queries of aspirants and other relevant sections covering areas like alumni interaction and corporate tit-bits, in addition to hosting mock GDs as well as useful GD/PI material during the time of admissions. Through all these initiatives, the Aspirant Relations Team ensures that SIBM Pune remains top-of-mind among MBA aspirants, and there is a ripple-effect of positive word-of-mouth created amongst the seekers of management education.
