“What Exactly Is My Fault?” — A Local Teacher’s Question
Voice of a small coaching class teacher
For the past several years, I have been teaching with complete dedication in my small coaching class. No big buildings, no flashy advertisements—just honest effort, personal attention, and consistent results.
In Classes 9 and 10, my students have consistently delivered strong performance. 85%, 90%, even above 95%. Not just marks—but real understanding of subjects, growing confidence, and disciplined study habits.
Small batches.
Individual attention to every student.
Extra classes when needed.
Worksheets and assignments.
Regular PTMs.
And most importantly—I am available 24×7.
Fees? Just ₹50,000–₹70,000.

But What Happens After Class 10?
The results come… parents are happy… and then suddenly, a different race begins.
Calls from big coaching institutes. Seminars. Advertisements. “Topper” posters. Big promises—
“IIT, JEE, Guaranteed Success…”
And then the same parents who trusted me say:
“Sir, now we’ll put our child in a big institute… it’s better for the future.”
I don’t argue. Because in their mind—bigger means better.

Two Years Later…
The same parents return.
No smiles.
No confidence.
₹4–5 lakh in fees.
Extra transport expenses.
Expensive study materials.
Dummy school fees.
And in the end—
No entrance exam cleared.
Poor board results.
Many students stuck at 50–60%.

And Those Who Stayed… Have a Different Story
Some parents chose to trust me. They didn’t follow the crowd.
Those students—
* Qualified JEE in their very first attempt
* Scored 80% to 95% in Class 12 board exams
And all of this—
Within just ₹50,000–₹60,000 in fees.
No crash courses.
No repeater batches.
No “drop year” for another attempt.
Everything achieved in the first attempt, through regular and consistent learning.

So I Ask…
Where parents paid lakhs—
They can’t even meet the owner.
Everything runs on a “system.”
Huge batches.
Hundreds of students.
No time for doubts.
No personal attention.
And here?
I know every student personally.
I understand their strengths and weaknesses.
I give extra time when needed.
I stay connected with parents directly.
Yet…

Is it my fault that I don’t advertise?
That I don’t have a fancy building?
That I don’t make false promises?
Or simply that I am not a “brand”?

The Reality
Education today has become a “brand.”
Marketing sells more than actual learning.
Big institutes showcase toppers—
But they are just a small fraction of thousands.
What about the rest?

A Question for Parents
Before making a decision, do you ask—
* What does my child really need?
* Do they need personal attention or crowd-based learning?
* Are their basics strong?
* Can they handle extreme pressure?
Or do you simply follow the crowd?

One Final Thought
I am still here.
Still teaching with honesty.
Still giving 100% to every student.
The only difference is—
I am not “big”… but I am real.
So once again, I ask—
What exactly is my fault?
