It is with profound grief and a heavy heart that we share this post but silence is not something we can afford right now.
Twisha Sharma, a beloved alumna of Indira University, lost her life on the night of 12th May 2026 under
circumstances that her family believes were not what they have been made out to be. An FIR has now been registered under Sections 80 and 85 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, charges that pertain to dowry death and cruelty by the husband and his family. The fight for justice has begun, but it cannot end here.
We will not let this be swept under the rug!
Twisha was one of ours. She walked these halls, she was part of this community, and that means we stand with her, today, tomorrow and until justice is fully served.
