Each Maheshwari Scholar & Promising Maheshwari Scholar awardee is given a Gold Medal worth Rs 50,000 & Rs 25,000 respectively. The graduates, PGs, Ph.Ds who have completed or likely to complete their course during 1st October 2017 & 30th September 2018 or have qualified UPSC are eligible to apply.

Sixth Edition of MVPM’s Maheshwari Scholar Awards underscore Progressive Nature of Maheshwari Community
Sixth edition of Maheshwari Scholar Awards instituted by Maheshwari Vidya Paracharak Mandal (MVPM), Pune were presented in a glittering ceremony in Pune on 19th January 2018. Fourteen Maheshwari scholars with outstanding academic achievements were presented Gold Medals & Citations at the hands of Shri Arun Lakahni, Chairman & MD, Vishvaraj Infrastructure Ltd and Dr Aniruddha Malpani, Renowned IVF Specialist & Angel Investor.
This year’s highlight was girls outshining boys in the Scholar awardee list.
Seven Maheshwari Scholar Awardees included

The awardees were chosen from a large number applications received from all over the world. An eminent Jury conducted interviews of 31 shortlisted finalists. Engineering Colleges, Aurngabad & Jalgaon, Dr Rajesh Tapadia, Renowned Physician, Shri G B Laddha, Former Head of Finance, Bajaj Auto Group, Shri Mukund
Rathi, Former Dy. Municipal Commissioner, Pune and Mrs Priya Maheshwari, Co-founder Properji.com.
The awards were sponsored by Shri Kailashji Biyani, Mumbai; Shri Shivnarayanji Ramnathji Kasat Group, Pune; Shri Mukunddasji Purushottamji Lohia, Pune; D J Malpani Group, Sangamner; Shri Shriramji Soni, Pune; Shri Rajendraji Tapadia, Pune & and the Alumni Association of MVPM Hostel.
President of Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal Shri Atul Lahoti welcomed the guests. On this occasion he urged that Scholar Awardees should serve as a source of guidance to youth in the community. Shri Rajendra Tapadia, Chairman of Maheshwari Scholar Awards Committee presented an overview of the Maheshwari Scholar Awards. He highlighted that out of 69 awards presented in six years, 30 have been won by girls. He said that this underscores progressive nature of Maheshwari Community.
Guest of Honour, Dr Aniruddha Malpani highlighted that attainment of educational qualifications is just the beginning of life-long learning. Shri Arun Lakhani, Chief Guest, emphasized that every business needs to have a larger societal purpose. Dr Vasant Bang, Secretary of the Maheshwari Scholar Awards Committee proposed the vote of thanks. He said that presentation of award to Ms Zarana Maheshwari, a visually challenged scholar, is one of the biggest achievements of Maheshwari Scholar awards. Shri Ramesh Dhoot, Executive President of Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal was also on the dais. The programme was well attended by Maheshwari community.
