Domestic equity market benchmarks BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 tumbled in Wednesday’s session, following a rout on Wall Street mainly driven by tech stocks. The 30-share Sensex was hovering around 38,200, while the Niffty 50 index breached the crucial 11,300 mark on the downside. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, just 7 scrips were trading in the green with Asian Paints and Reliance Industries as top index gainers. Meanwhile, RIL announced that Silver Lake will invest Rs 7,500 crore in Retail Retail. Other gainers were Bharti Airtel, TCS, Titan Company, Infosys and Tech Mahindra. On the contrary, ONGC was the top Sensex laggard, down 3.5 per cent followed by State Bank of India, ITC, NTPC and Tata Steel.

Domestic equity market benchmarks BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading mixed on MOnday in line with global cues. BSE Sensex was hovering around 38,400, while the broader Nifty 50 was ruling below the crucial 11,400. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 18 stocks were trading in the green with Tata Steel as the top gainer, up 1.17 per cent, followed by NTPC, Maruti Suzuki, Sun Pharma, ONGC, Titan Company and Reliance Industries. While, M&M shares fell the most, down 1.36 per cent. Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank, HCL Tech, Bajaj-Auto, Bharti Airtel and Infosys were among index losers. The trend among sectoral indices was positive. Nifty Metal Index gained nearly one per cent in trade. On the contrary, Nifty Bank, Nifty Financial Services and Nifty Private Bank were trading in negative territory.

SGX Nifty was trading 43 points higher on Monday morning, hinting at a positive start for domestic benchmark indices. Sensex and Nifty enter this week’s trading session on a cautious note, keeping an eye on the expiry of Futures & Options August contracts. Sensex and Nifty ended Friday’s trading session with gains and with the 50-stock Nifty just below the 11,400 mark, investors believe markets could still maintain their upward march in the near-term. Global cues were mixed on Monday morning. Shanghai Composite was trading with losses while the Hang Seng was seen gaining. TOPIX and Nikkei 225 were up in the green, followed by South Korean stock markets.

S&P BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 enter Thursday’s trading session on the back of a three-day gaining spree. BSE Sensex was surging yesterday but trimmed gains in the closing hours, while Nifty 50 managed to close above the 11,400 mark. Asian stock markets were trading deep in the red on Thursday morning. KOSDAQ of South Korea was deep in red, down 3% while Shanghai Composite, Hang Seng, TOPIX, and Nikkei 225 too were trading with losses.

Sensex and Nifty continued to march upwards, opening with gains on Wednesday morning. The benchmark indices entered Wednesday’s trading session on the back of two days of consecutive gains. S&P BSE Sensex was up over 200 points or 0.54% while the 50-stock Nifty was just shy of the 11,450 mark. Global cues were mixed but analysts had said that Yesterday’s closing levels signals more upside for Nifty 50. Volatility slipped once again while midcap and smallcap stocks once again outperformed benchmarks.

Domestic equity market benchmarks BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading higher on Monday, following the positive global cues. BSE Sensex was up 80 points or 0.22 points to trade at 37,960, while the Nifty 50 was trading above 11,200. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 24 scrips were trading in the positive territory. NTPC was top Sensex gainer, up 2.66 per cent, followed by L&T, Titan Company, ONGC, ITC and Kotak Mahindra Bank. On the contrary, Reliance Industries (RIL) was the top laggard, down 1.54 per cent. Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank and State Bank India (SBI) were the Sensex losers. Barring Nifty Pharma and Nifty PSU Bank indices, all the sectoral indices were trading in the green. NIfty Media jumped over 3 per cent while Nifty Metal was up 1.27 per cent.
