World Environment Day Celebration
On June 5, 2025, EuroSchool CBSE Wakad celebrated World Environment Day with tremendous enthusiasm! The highlight of the event was the inauguration of our new Medicinal Garden, featuring a diverse array of plants with remarkable healing properties. The garden was inaugurated by the Principal Gursimran Kaur Ma'am by planting sapling of medicinal plants brought by students, and other core team members followed her. This initiative was very well planned and executed by our Science department.
A special assembly was organized for students of grades 3-10, showcasing a captivating shadow puppet show based on Shel Silverstein's poignant poem "The Giving Tree". The performance effectively conveyed a powerful message about the significance of conservation and gratitude towards nature.
Additionally, a mesmerizing dance performance was presented, beautifully depicting the five elements: earth, water, air, fire, and ether, followed by a quiz.
Students of Pre-primary to grade 2 were shown videos on the significance of the day and the class teachers briefed the significance of the day.
The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and foster a deeper appreciation for the natural world. It was indeed a wonderful learning experience for our students!

D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) Event
EuroSchool CBSE Wakad organized D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) event today with great enthusiasm and participation. At the designated time, all activities across the campus came to a pause as students, teachers, and even Principal ma'am dropped everything they were doing and immersed themselves in reading. The entire school was transformed into a quiet and focused reading zone, creating an inspiring sight.
What made the event even more special was the involvement of senior students, who took the initiative to help the younger children with reading. They patiently narrated stories, assisted in pronunciation, and shared their love for books, fostering a wonderful spirit of mentorship and bonding. The event successfully promoted the joy of reading and highlighted the importance of making time for books in our daily lives.

The Earth Day celebration at EuroSchool CBSE Wakad was truly a success, with two separate special assemblies conducted by Grade 2 and Grade 7. Both assemblies featured songs and dances that beautifully conveyed the message of environmental consciousness. The performances were not only entertaining but also aligned perfectly with the significance of the day.
Students from Pre-K to Grade 2 embraced the occasion by dressing in green, symbolizing their commitment to protecting the planet. Additionally, the young learners engaged in an insightful activity in their EVS class, reinforcing the theme of Earth Day in a meaningful and hands-on way.
It was an inspiring and enriching day, showcasing the dedication of both students and teachers towards fostering environmental awareness.

Parent Orientation Program - POP / PROP
We are pleased to share that the Parent Orientation Program at EuroSchool CBSE Wakad was conducted smoothly and successfully. The program was planned in 4 slots distributed in 2 days.
Where all the pointers were explained in detail by teachers, coordinators & Principal Ma’am, Ms. Gursimran Kaur. Parents were extremely happy as Principal ma'am personally addressed the gathering, explaining all minute details with clarity and enthusiasm. Parents actively participated, appreciated the insights shared, and expressed their satisfaction with the sessions. Their positive feedback reaffirmed our commitment to transparency and collaboration.

Super Tuesday Event Recap – A Retro & Bollywood Extravaganza!
The last Super Tuesday (Saturday) at EuroSchool CBSE Wakad of this academic year was nothing short of spectacular as our staff came together for a fun-filled event themed Retro & Bollywood! From classic bell-bottoms to glamorous filmy avatars, everyone embraced the theme with enthusiasm, making it a vibrant and colorful affair.
The event was packed with energy, starting with an exciting ramp walk where participants flaunted their best retro and Bollywood-inspired outfits. This was followed by team performances , where groups showcased their creativity through dance, skits, and musical acts, keeping the audience entertained throughout.
Adding to the excitement, appreciation awards were given to the best-dressed and standout performers, recognizing their effort and spirit. The celebration concluded with a delicious lunch, bringing everyone together for a moment of camaraderie and joy.

Special Assembly by Grade 3C on Maha-Shivratri & Marathi Diwas
On 25th February, the EuroSchool CBSE Wakad students of Grade 3C conducted a vibrant special assembly to celebrate Maha Shivratri and Marathi Diwas. The event began with a soulful prayer and an introduction highlighting the significance of Marathi Diwas.
The celebration of Marathi Diwas honoured the rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra. Students recited Marathi poems. A short speech emphasized the beauty and importance of the Marathi language.
For Maha Shivratri, students presented a captivating skit depicting the legends associated with Lord Shiva. The atmosphere was filled with spiritual energy as the audience joined in chanting "Om Namah Shivaya."

Self-Defense Session for Girls (Grades 3-9) Successfully Conducted
A well-organized self-defense session for girls of Grades 3-9 was conducted today in EuroSchool CBSE Wakad, focusing on essential techniques to enhance their safety and confidence. The session aimed to equip students with basic self-defense skills, situational awareness, and the ability to react effectively in challenging situations.
The training began with an introduction to personal safety and awareness, followed by warm-up exercises to prepare the participants physically. Instructor, Ms Sanjyoti (P.E. teacher) demonstrated fundamental techniques such as wrist escapes, blocking, palm strikes, and knee kicks, ensuring that students understood how to use them effectively. Practical drills and role-playing scenarios helped reinforce these skills in real-life situations.
The session concluded with hands-on experience by the students of a few techniques. The initiative was well-received, leaving the participants empowered with knowledge and confidence to protect themselves if needed.

The staff picnic of ES CBSE Wakad was a delightful break from routine, filled with laughter, relaxation, and camaraderie. The journey itself was full of fun, with teachers sharing stories, playing games, and enjoying the scenic views along the way.
Upon reaching the venue, everyone indulged in a delicious spread of meals, with the highlight being a traditional hurda party, where fresh roasted jowar was savored with chutneys and jaggery. The lively atmosphere made the experience even more special.
The excitement continued with thrilling water rides, where teachers let loose and enjoyed splashing around. The refreshing experience brought out the child in everyone, making the day truly memorable.
As the picnic came to an end, the staff returned with joyful memories, strengthened bonds, and a renewed spirit, ready to take on their responsibilities with fresh enthusiasm.
