I had the honour of meeting 𝐇𝐨𝐧’𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 Jishnu Dev Varma, 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐫𝐚 at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.

I was accompanied by Shri Harshvarrdhan Patil, Chancellor, PCU, and Mr. Sachin C Itkar, Governing Body Member, PCU and Vice President, Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC), whose presence added valuable perspective to the discussion.

During this interaction, we engaged in a meaningful and comprehensive discussion on various social, cooperative, and educational issues that are crucial for inclusive and sustainable development. We also presented an overview of the initiatives and vision of Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust and Pimpri Chinchwad University, highlighting our commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and global collaboration.

This interaction marks another step forward in strengthening institutional engagement and contributing to the broader vision of educational and societal progress in Maharashtra.

I'm delighted to share the grand success of the “𝐏𝐂𝐂𝐎𝐄 𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔”, organized at Pimpri Chinchwad College Of Engineering - PCCOE, Nigdi, under Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust (PCET).

The job fair witnessed participation from 𝟐𝟎𝟓 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬, offering more than 𝟏𝟓,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 through online tests, group discussions, technical interviews, and personal interviews, covering opportunities in jobs, apprenticeships, and internships. A total of 𝟏𝟑,𝟗𝟗𝟏 candidates registered, and after a rigorous selection process, 𝟐,𝟐𝟐𝟑 candidates successfully secured placements.

Students from various institutions actively participated in this mega job fair, including Pimpri Chinchwad University, further strengthening the reach and inclusivity of this initiative.

Leading organizations such as Cummins India, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., Dana Anand India Private Limited, Tata Motors, Varroc Engineering Ltd, Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited, Hyundai India, Atlas Copco India, Schindler, and many more companies were part of this remarkable fair.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Shri P. N. Jumle (Director, BOAT), Shri N. N. Wadode (Deputy Director, BOAT), Smt. Rujuta Bankar (Deputy Director, Ministry of Corporate Affairs), Shri Navnath Suryavanshi (Secretary, NIPM), Shri Deepak Khot (Founder, Vibrant HR Minds), and Dr. Sh*talkumarRawandale (Dean, Central Placement Cell, PCET).

Under the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞 (𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐒), it was highlighted that the Government of India has extended significant financial support for skill development, providing stipends to graduate and diploma candidates. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞 was also emphasized, offering valuable industry exposure along with a monthly stipend.

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Dr. Sh*talkumar Rawandale and his entire team, along with 200+ dedicated student volunteers for their relentless efforts in making this event a grand success.

At PCET, we remain committed to bridging the gap between academia and industry, empowering students with meaningful opportunities, and contributing to nation-building through skill development and employment generation.

It was a pleasure to welcome Mr. Siddharth Mukne, Managing Director, Ergo Europe Ltd, who works extensively in UK–India trade, partnerships, and global collaboration, to the Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust on 21st April 2026.

Mr. Mukne led an engaging and insightful discussion on the evolving dynamics of UK–India relations, drawing from his extensive experience in fostering international collaborations. His interactions highlighted valuable opportunities for academic partnerships and student mobility, with references to leading UK institutions such as the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞, 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧.

A key takeaway from his discussion was the concept of the 𝐔𝐊–𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫, which holds immense potential in strengthening bilateral ties across education, trade, and innovation. He emphasized the need for universities to strategically align their academic offerings with global industry demands while effectively engaging with the growing pool of international students from India.

Equally noteworthy was his emphasis on building innovation ecosystems “𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐞,” encouraging meaningful dialogue and purposeful collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers.

Mr. Mukne also had a campus tour, where he interacted with students of Pimpri Chinchwad College Of Engineering - PCCOE and extended his best wishes for their future success, making the visit even more enriching for our student community.

From PCET, Dr. Yogesh Bhavsar, OSD and Dr. Aishwarya Gopalakrishnan, Head of the Centre for European Studies, also contributed their valuable thoughts, enriching the discussion further.

Such interactions are instrumental in broadening our global outlook and strengthening our commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration.

I'm delighted to highlight a significant international engagement with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between 대한민국 중소벤처기업부 (KOSME) and 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐌𝐈𝐃𝐂) on 20th April, 2026 in New Delhi. This important MoU, signed on behalf of MIDC by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐫-𝐆𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐞 (𝐈𝐀𝐒), 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐄𝐎.

This marks a meaningful step toward strengthening support infrastructure and building robust local networks for SMEs entering Western India. It reflects a shared vision of fostering innovation, enabling global startup growth, and deepening Indo–Korean collaboration.

It was a privilege to be among distinguished delegates including Mr. Yong Seok Roh from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Korea,; Mr. Park Jang Hyunk, VP – Global Business Development, KOSME; Mr. Vikas Suryawanshi, GM Marketing, MIDC; Ms. HYEJUNG KANG, Administartive Manager, KOSME; Ms. Princy Verma from KOSME; Ms. Shailvi Srivastava, IKETS.Korea; and Ms. YuJin Han CEO of STARAJIN & Professor of Practice at PCU.

I'm especially pleased to note that PCET's Pimpri Chinchwad University, has already been actively engaging with KOSME through ongoing collaborations in entrepreneurship and global knowledge exchange. A key milestone in this journey has been the PCU–KOSME MoU, along with the launch of the KOSME Training Program, aimed at equipping students with global competencies and industry-relevant skills.

Such milestones reinforce my commitment to provide our students with global exposure and industry-driven learning opportunities, while actively contributing to international partnerships in entrepreneurship and innovation.

I had the privilege of welcoming Shri Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat IPS, Additional DGP Law and Order, Telangana State Police, Hyderabad, to Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust.

His address as the Guest Speaker on “𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬” to PCET institute students, organized in collaboration with विजिगीषा - 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐥, Pimpri Chinchwad College Of Engineering - PCCOE, were truly enriching and thought-provoking.

What stood out the most was his practical guidance on 𝐔𝐏𝐒𝐂 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧—from clearly explaining the eligibility criteria and stages of the examination to emphasizing the importance of smart study strategies over just hard work. His insights on time management, focused learning, consistency, and analytical thinking provided immense clarity to aspiring civil servants.

Equally inspiring is his remarkable work in tackling 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫. His efforts have been truly magnificent—he has not only rescued countless individuals but has also worked towards transforming their lives by facilitating their 𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬, including establishing schools for rescued children. His commitment to serving society beyond the call of duty, and not limiting himself to his official role, truly reflects his greatness and humanitarian spirit.

He also encouraged our engineering students to leverage their technical background effectively while preparing for the civil services, reinforcing that with the right mindset, structured planning, and perseverance, success is achievable. He shared his remarkable journey in the Indian Police Service, offering students a real-world perspective on dedication, discipline, and purpose-driven careers.

He was also interviewed at PCET's Infinity 90.4 FM, and the session will soon be broadcast on air, extending his valuable insights to a wider audience.

I would also like to extend special thanks to Mr. Sachin Itkar, Vice President, Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC) and Mr. Kalyan Taware, Owner, Karan Group, for their valuable support and contribution in making this session a grand success.
