National Drawing Day is celebrated on May 16 of every year. Drawing is a form of visual art in which the individual uses several drawing instruments to mark the paper or another two-dimensional medium. Tools like graphite pencils, pen, and ink, inked brushes, wax colour pencils, charcoal, pastel, chalk and other kinds of erasers, markers, styluses and much more will be used. National Drawing Day tells you that everything inside you is valuable and deserving to be shared with the world. The day is also there to bring much-needed appreciation and awareness to artists and illustrators.

International Astronomy Day is celebrated twice a year, close to the first quarter moon of spring and fall — on May 15 and October 9, this year. We couldn’t be more thrilled to enjoy this day by doing all kinds of space-related activities. Astronomy is a natural science that has been ever-present in human history. Our ancestors looked at the night sky, filled with curiosity about what was beyond our planet with the same fervor as we do. Indigenous cultures from around the world practiced astrology with the naked eye and it played a key role in their societies.

अद्वितीय योद्धा एवं राष्ट्र की रक्षा के लिए अपने प्राण न्यौछावर करने वाले महापराक्रमी छत्रपति संभाजी महाराज जी की जयंती 14 मई को हैं। वह छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज के सबसे बड़े पुत्र हैं। संभाजी महाराज का जन्म 14 मई 1657 को पुणे से 50 किलोमीटर दूर पुरंदर किले में हुआ था। 1681 में संभाजी महाराज को विधिवत छत्रपति का ओहदा प्रदान किया गया। कहा जाता है कि महज 31 साल की उम्र तक बेहद शक्तिशाली, बुद्धिमान औऱ स्वाभिमान संभाजी महाराज ने 128 युद्ध जीत लिए थे। कहा जाता है कि संभाजी महाराज धर्म औऱ न्याय के प्रणेता थे और उन्होंने हमेशा मराठा हितों के लिए काम किया। मराठा इतिहास में संभाजी महाराज का नाम हमेशा सम्मान से लिया जाता रहेगा।

Akshaya Tritiya 2021: This year Akshaya Tritiya is on May 14th. The day, also known as Akha Teej, is believed to be extremely auspicious and holy for Hindus and Jains. Akshaya Tritiya falls during the Shukla Paksha Tritiya in the month of Vaishakha. The word akshaya in Sanskrit means anything that is endless or forever and hence Akshaya Tritiya is believed to bring good luck. On the auspicious Akshaya Tritiya, people prefer to start new work or businesses. People also pay respect to their forefathers and parents who are no more.
