“Innovation In Diagnostic Instruments In Dentistry”

Dr. D. Y. Patil dental college and Hospital, Pimpri, Pune organized “Submit An Idea” on “Innovation In Diagnostic Instruments In Dentistry” under the self driven activity for UG-PG students during 11th May 2022 to 15th May 2022 at Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital, Pimpri, Pune.

There were total 15 entries from undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The committee members worked together to make the event successful under the guidance of chairman, Dr. Gargi Sarode.

The competition was categorized in two groups i.e. Group A for undergraduate students, Group B for post-graduate student.

Total 15 entries were enrolled for the competition.

All the participants brainstormed their respective ideas individually as well as collectively to shape it into innovative tool. It helped to widen horizon of possibilities to find solutions to ease prospective dental field problems or difficulties.

Participants tried to know and invent about various prospective innovative fields like potential diagnostic instruments to be used in dentistry, Digitalization of Dentist for better and fast diagnosis.

A total of 112 participants attended the lecture.

The DPU Foundation for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (DPU-FIIE) and the Start-up and Innovation cell of Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pimpri, Pune conducted an E-Poster competition from 12th to 16th of February 2022 and an offline presentation of the selected posters were done by students on the 17th of February 2022.
The program is a self-driven activity of incubation cell with the prime objective of encouraging the creative energy of our student on new ideas and innovation, to promote the ingenious talents of students, to develop scientific attitude and critical thinking among students and to identify and help in patent filing and commercialize ideas.

A total of 126 participants attended the webinar.
