Bura na mano holi hain!
Holi, a celebration of colour, an experience of content, harmony, and delight.
Holi – The festival of Colours is not about getting rid of the waste and negative energies from our lives and homes but much more. Holi is also celebrated as a pledge day when one takes account of their shortcomings and accepts your flaws and mistakes and promises oneself not to repeat them and overcome them.
The most colourful and vibrant festival of India – Holi was celebrated with splash of colours at Maharashtriya Mandal School, Tilak Road. The atmosphere on 28th March 2024 was marked with fun and fervor as Pre-primary students celebrated this vibrant festival with great zeal and enthusiasm... The school, following green and global practices, had arranged safe organic herbal Holi colours. Even enthusiastic, energetic tiny tots sprinkled colours on teachers.
The kids were introduced to the significance of the festival and the story behind the celebration. A Story of Prahalad and Holika Dahan. On the auspicious day of Holi students performed numerous creative activities. To rejoice in the celebration of colours is important but to play it safe is equally important. Emphasizing the need for precaution and safety, the kidos were made aware of herbal colours made with natural things like turmeric powder, beetroot, flowers. They were asked to play safe Holi by using natural colours instead of chemical colours. The tiny tots reflected upon wastage of water during Holi celebration and pledged to play dry Holi instead.
All students and teachers felt the exuberance of warmth and the joy of vibrant colours applied on them. There was laughter, joy and merry making in the air. They would remember the day with a difference ~ spent cheerfully and left the school with joyous colourful memories.
