* Air Occupy Space *

Experiments like this help kids understand that.. even though we cannot see air around us it still occupies space because it is made up of matter and, matter occupies space and thus the experiment demonstrates us the same by showing how the paper doesn't get wet as there is air inside the glass and it is made up of matter which occupies spaces due to which the water did not wet the paper as it was dipped in water.
