With great novelty in the curriculum, it has niched a cutting edge in the progressive arena of IT Business Management. While SCIT houses numerous student driven activities and events like Prayatna, Samaarambh, The Art of Living, iTELF, Information Security Awareness week by Team M@trix and NatSem, Graffiti clearly takes the front seat. Graffiti – an annual Techno-Managerial fest held at SCIT, is a classic blend of business and technology. With an extensive reach, the splendor of the event witnesses an exceptional participation from the students of the much renowned colleges and B-schools across India. How did the pioneering evolution of Graffiti come about? SCIT initially celebrated its Foundation Day by conducting a Techno-Management Festival ‘Techie Kaun?’ at Symbiosis Infotech Campus, Pune. In 2009, ‘Techie Kaun?’ took its new name – ‘Graffiti’. In that year, ‘Graffiti’ invited students from various technical and business institutions across India to participate in an exciting array of challenging competitions, quizzes and paper presentations. For the coming years, the 2-day grand event went on to cover a wide spectrum of events ranging from Business plan and marketing strategy to LAN gaming and an all new thrilling event – ‘Game of Thrones’. It is said that change is inevitable, but progress is optional. The uncertainty of tomorrow is what keeps people motivated and gives them a reason to get back in the game with a new strategy every time. Pronounced metamorphosis and refinement through varying tides are the drivers of growth in the helm of this new era of radical and invigorate thinking. As the saying goes “Don’t just cook the dish, serve it right!” Management today does not simply end at cooking up the best dish for the right connoisseur. One is expected to implement those as well! Our life is a big proverbial coin toss. When you’re ever in doubt or can’t make a decision, all you need to do is flip a coin not to leave your life to chance but because in the brief moment when coin is in the air, you’ll realize which side you hope the coin to land on. In the end, truly successful decision making relies on a balance between deliberate and instinctive thinking. As the pace of technological innovation picks up, so does that of management innovation. Keeping up with the changes in technology and adapting to the socio political and economic dynamics of not just your immediate milieu but the entire globe is the need of the hour. The dedication towards creating quality events that complement the traditional learning provided by B-Schools has positioned Graffiti among the most happening and eagerly awaited management fests in the country. SCIT’s flagship management festival, Graffiti goes beyond what a traditional B school management festival is to being the celebration of spirit and character of what makes this fest absolutely amazing!
