Agree?? Happy Teachers Day to all the teachers and parents who are the first teachers of the child.❤️

We need reminders to be positive while working with kids. Sometimes.. just seeing the situation in a different light helps to resolve it.

👆SWIPE TO SEE ALL THE ACTIVITIES 👆
Here are some Earth Day activities that you can do with your kids. 🌏

🌳Plant a tree or grow something- Talk to your kids about the importance of trees.

🌳Reduce, Reuse, Recycle- Help your kids learn the 3 R's and explain to them in simple terms what they mean.
♻️Reduce - Use fewer things
♻️Reuse - Using the things again for a different purpose, for example, make a craft with boxes and toilet paper rolls. Gently used clothes and shoes can be handed down to the needy.
♻️Recycle - Make new things from old things like plastic, metal, paper, and glass.

🌳Recycling Activity- Kids love to do the sorting. Take four cartons and stick pictures of plastic bags, metal cans, papers, and glass bottles.
You can give them an assortment of used papers, plastic bottles and bags, cans, and glass bottles. Ask them to sort the items according to the materials. This activity is more fun when conducted in the form of a race.

🌳Take a Pledge- Talk to your kids about the importance of taking care of our planet. It is the responsibility of each one to keep the Earth clean and happy. You can use the pledge in the post.

🌳Sing Songs- Sing songs that will help your kids learn the new words and remember them easily.

🌳Craft Activities-
The Earth is My Home - This easy craft represents your child holding the Earth in his/her hands.
Butterfly Craft - Use toilet paper rolls to make colorful butterflies. I have shared the template for reference.

When little people are overwhelmed by big emotions, it is our job to share our calm, not join in their chaos.
- L.R.Knost ❤️❤️

How do you deal with chaos and your child's big emotions? 🤔

Nobody likes a wailing and screaming child! 😫
Many times, as caregivers we have our hands full, with a lot to do and not having enough time. 🙆 Add to that our little ones flaring incidences and melt-downs that seem to pop out of nowhere.💥

In such situations, our reaction is to snap or shout.😲 But this only intensifies the child's behaviour, instead of bringing any relief. 🙃

💕The best way to bring the situation under control is to stay calm and talk softly in a loving manner. 😊

💕Assure your child that it is okay to feel the way he is feeling.

💕Give him a hug and make him sit close to you if he is willing.🤗🤗

💕Soon the storm will be over and your child will become his happy self again😊😊😊

Here's a simple educational art & craft activity to keep the little hands busy. This activity is fantastic if you are homeschooling or just looking for some fun-and-learn stuff to do with your kids.

The materials required are:
▶️3 triangles cut out of white chart paper.
▶️ Yellow colour paint in 3 shades - we used poster colours in 2 shades - golden yellow and lemon yellow. For the 3rd shade, we mixed yellow with a little white.
▶️ Sponge
▶️Black marker to draw the eye.

Here's how to proceed:
⏩ Cut 3 triangles of different sizes. If your child is old enough to use scissors, allow him to cut them.
⏩Ask your child to arrange them according to the size - small, medium, large
⏩Ask your child to observe and name the colour. You could lead the discussion by asking the following questions-
Are the 3 colours the same or different?
How are they different?
Which shade is darker/lighter?
Have you seen something that looks like this colour?
Answers could be -Sun, banana, marigold flower, rubber duckie, etc.
Guide your child to dab the paint on the triangles with the sponge
⏩After it dries, you could ask your child to arrange the triangles to make a fish.
⏩Glue the pieces in place.
⏩Draw the eye with the marker to complete it.

This activity leads to experiential learning and skill development while having fun. The child will learn about shapes, colour, texture, size, develop fine motor skills, enhance creative thinking skills and imagination.

Do try out this fun activity with your little one, and let me know how it goes in the comments below.

Please ✅SHARE this post with friends or ✅SAVE it for later. I am sure you will enjoy every part of this activity.

💜💛❤️Holi Messy Art Activity💙💚♥️
Here's the activity we did for Holi. It turned out to be super fun and messy. Just the way kids love it!

Here's how we did it:
😀Take a white sheet of paper.
😀 Prepare the different colours by mixing poster colour with water. The paint should be watery so that it can spash.
😀 Dip each cotton ball in a different colour paint and place it on the white sheet.
😀Give your child a spoon or ladle and let the splashing begin.
😀You can do this activity as many times as your child is willing. Each time you will get a different pattern on the paper.

This activity is super simple to set up and to do. However it is very messy 😊. So spread newspapers or take it outside and get dressed in Holi attire .

♥️Although we did this activity for holi, you do not need a special day to play with colours. So try out this activity and let me know how it goes.💜

🌸Happy World Storytelling Day🌸 "Sometimes reality is too complex. Stories give it form." --Jean Luc Godard

✨Who doesn't love listening to a story? Stories attract adults and kids alike. ✨
Concepts and ideas that difficult for children to understand or accept are easily imbibed by them through stories. 😊

Storytelling has been a favourite part of our bedtime routine. Although we read many books, there are some classic stories that have to be told everyday.
These are repeated so many times that the kids have memorised the sequence, words, gestures and expressions that go along with it.

Here are 5 of our evergreen stories that we never get tired of.

🎈 The Lion and the Mouse
🎈The Greedy Dog
🎈 The Thirsty Crow
🎈The 3 Little Pigs
🎈Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Which is your kid's all time favourite story?? Write in the comments below.

❣️Imagine if each person was exactly the same, had the same traits and excelled at the exact same things how boring this world would be!!❣️

❣️Every child is unique. And each one comes with a different set of gifts. As a caregiver it is our responsibility to help them discover their gifts and nurture them. Imagine if each person was exactly the same how boring this world would be!!
When it comes to teaching, there is no "one size fits all". ❣️

💟 We have to change the way we teach according to the capabilities of each child.
💟 We must observe the children carefully to understand their learning style.
💟 Stop comparing one child with another.
💟 Offer genuine praise to each child for the even the slightest progress.
💟 Let each child know that he/she is loved.
