SemiconTantra Foundation is organizing an intensive RTL to GDSII Workshop that provides a complete understanding of the VLSI physical design flow through theory + hands-on labs using industry-standard Synopsys tools.

We are thrilled to announce that our team "Galactic Gearheads" from PICT secured the 1st position in the prestigious "ISRO Robotics Challenge", a National-Level Robotics Competition organized by ISRO.
Out of 510 participating teams from across India, including IITs and NITs, our team emerged victorious.

This intense competition challenged participants to push the boundaries of Brain Signal Processing, and Soham Yedgaonkar rose to the top 🏆 with his groundbreaking approach in decoding brain signals using advanced deep learning models like FBCNet (CNNs), GPT, and LSTMs achieving an astonishing 95.6% accuracy! The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe), in collaboration with the Astronautical Society of India (ASI) and Isro, launched the IN-SPACe Model Rocketry India Student Competition 2024-25 to create awareness and inspire technological talent in the field of rocketry among Indian students 🚀

🔷 “This initiative supports the growth of a skilled STEM workforce with a specific emphasis on space technology. The event, aimed at promoting innovation and technical expertise, drew participation from 86 student teams nationwide. After thorough evaluation and design reviews, 55 teams advanced to attend the ‘Essentials of Model Rocketry Workshop,’ held in partnership with the Indian Air Force. The workshop is being hosted at Air Force Station-Jalahalli from Nov 9-15,” IN-SPACe said in a statement.

🔷 IN-SPACe director-promotions, Vinod Kumar, said the unique workshop will help ignite the passion for space exploration among young people by giving them an insight into rocketry and space technology.
“The workshop was envisioned to encourage children to learn and innovate through practical sessions. We believe that empowering these young innovators today will lead to their contribution to India's journey to a leadership position in the global space arena,” Kumar said.

🔷 Air Vice Marshal Premkumar Krishnaswamy, commandant, IAF Weapon Systems School, said as an aerospace combatant, he understood and recognised the importance of nurturing young minds for the future growth of space technologies.
“The aim of this workshop is to instil a culture of innovation and critical thinking, and inspire our youth to pursue a career in aerospace engineering, thereby contributing to our nation’s growth in this domain,” he added.

Participants from all over the country will get a chance to gain a deep understanding of the fundamental principles behind model rocket design, propulsion systems, deployment and separation mechanisms, and mission design from industry leaders and academia.
