Unique initiative of SUNITI Vidyalayam The Mapuskar’s Gurukul by playing the Indian Damru (Drum), for the success of India's ambitious mission Aditya L1.
A remarkable step was taken today, by all the students and teachers of SUNITI Vidyalayam The Mapuskar’s Gurukul, school run by Padmashri Awardee Dr Suhaschandra Vitthal Mapuskar Education Foundation, located at Malinagar, Dehugaon Pune, for achieving success in India’s ambitious mission Aditya L1 SuryaYaan.
In order to accomplish this ambitious mission a complete success, all students and teachers of the school gathered to play the traditional Indian drum, the "Damru". The "Damaru" is known as a power drum, and when played, it is believed to generate spiritual energy. The school's director and principal, Mrs. Sonali Ulhas Mapuskar and teachers Janhavi Kulkarni, Nirmala Bind, Nutan Patil, Lydia Fernandes provided information to the children about the Aditya L1 mission and encouraged them to participate actively. They also asked students to take inspiration from such initiatives and contribute to such diverse projects that can bring glory to India.
Mapuskar Gurukul always introduce various programs, said co-founder and vice-chairman Mr. Ulhas Anand Mapuskar. He said that, its the dreams of Usha Vitthal Mapuskar, Founder & Chariman, and sister of Padmashri Awardee Dr S V Mapuskar that students of this school should be nurtured and cultured in such a way that they become like Dr. S. V. Mapuskar, and dedicate themselves to serving the nation.
This school is in Pune district and perhaps, this could be the first school in the country, or one among the very few, to take such an initiative for success of Aditya L1 mission.
