Did you know? π€
In phonics, we donβt start with letter names (A, B, C)...
We start with **letter sounds**!
π€ **What is the rule?**
Each letter makes a **sound**, and children use these sounds to read words.
π **When to use:**
Always focus on **sounds while reading and spelling**, not letter names.
π **Examples:**
a β /a/ (apple)
b β /b/ (bat)
s β /s/ (sun)
t β /t/ (tap)
β οΈ **Common Mistake:**
Saying βbeeβ instead of /b/ while reading.
π‘ **Why it matters:**
Sounds help children **blend words easily** β c-a-t = cat π±
