We are proud to celebrate the extraordinary achievement of *Jitin Methwani*, our distinguished alumnus from *Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR), Batch of 2008–2010!*

A seasoned Cloud and Database Architect, *Jitin has achieved a remarkable global milestone by successfully earning the prestigious Oracle Certified Master (OCM) 19c certification.*

This accomplishment is particularly noteworthy as Jitin is the first and only Indian professional to achieve the Oracle Certified Master 19c credential. The certification examination, conducted exclusively in China, is recognised as one of the most rigorous Oracle certifications worldwide. Spanning two days of intensive hands-on assessment, candidates are required to solve complex real-world database administration challenges and scenarios within strict timelines.

Among millions of Oracle Database Administrators globally and hundreds of thousands of Oracle-certified professionals, only a select few have attained the Oracle Certified Master designation. Based on publicly available professional data, Jitin is believed to be among only a handful of professionals worldwide to have successfully completed the OCM 19c certification. This exceptional achievement reflects his technical expertise, perseverance, and commitment to excellence in the field of database and cloud technologies.

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Achieves Significant Progress in GRAS 2025

ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS), recognized worldwide for its rigorous and objective methodology, evaluates universities across 57 academic subjects spanning , , , , and . The rankings are based on key indicators including world-class , output, research quality, , and international .

Each year, GRAS assesses nearly 20,000 subject units from around 2,000 universities across almost 100 countries and regions, making it one of the world’s most comprehensive subject-based ranking systems.

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has shown exceptional progress in the Business Administration rankings over the past three years. SIU improved from the 201–300 global rank band in 2023 to 151–200 in 2024, and further advanced to the 101–150 band in 2025. The University was ranked Joint 1st in India in 2023 and 2024, and secured the No. 1 position in India in 2025.

This achievement is especially significant as only 12 Indian institutions featured in the Business Administration rankings in 2025, including leading IIMs, IITs, MDI, and O.P. Jindal Global University.

SIU’s continued rise reflects its sustained commitment to academic excellence, impactful research, innovation, global engagement, and institutional quality. Securing the top position in India while strengthening its global standing marks an important milestone in the University’s journey as a globally recognized institution for management education and research.

We celebrate Sharayu Jadhav, alumna of SLS-P(Batch of 2004), on rejoining Flipkart as Vice President – Legal.

With over two and a half decades of experience across the e-commerce and IT services ecosystem, Sharayu has held key legal leadership roles, most recently serving as General Counsel at Acko. She now returns to Flipkart to lead legal strategy across marketplace operations, supply chain, data privacy, technology law, and employment policies — enabling robust compliance while supporting business growth.

Over the years, her journey has included impactful roles at Razorpay, Myntra, Cognizant, and Wipro, building deep expertise at the intersection of law, technology, and digital commerce.

Sharayu’s career reflects how legal leadership plays a critical role in shaping responsible, scalable, and future-ready organisations.
