A CSA (Child Sexual Abuse) prevention and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) awareness workshop was organised at D.Y. Patil World School by 'Muskan Foundation' to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle cases of child sexual abuse with sensitivity and in accordance with the law.

The workshop covered the key provisions of the POCSO Act, including the identification of different forms of child sexual abuse, the legal procedures for reporting, investigating cases, and the importance of maintaining a child-friendly approach during legal proceedings. It also emphasized the roles of various stakeholders, such as parents, teachers, and police, in preventing and responding to abuse. It was an interactive session with discussion of case studies. Participants learnt how to protect children, support victims, and ensure justice while upholding the victims’ rights and dignity.

A lightning bolt can reach temperatures of up to 30,000 Kelvin (53,540°F or 30,000°C), which is incredibly hot. In comparison, the surface of the Sun is around 5,500°C (9,932°F), or 5,800 Kelvin. So, a lightning bolt is about five times hotter than the Sun's surface.
The reason lightning is so hot is because of the way it forms. During a thunderstorm, the atmosphere becomes electrically charged. When the charge builds up enough, it creates a sudden discharge of energy in the form of a lightning bolt. This discharge rapidly heats up the air around it, causing it to expand and create the flash of light that we see.
Even though the temperature of a lightning bolt is extremely high, it only lasts for a very short time (usually only a fraction of a second), which is why it doesn’t instantly burn everything it touches, despite its intense heat.

Your stomach is a powerful organ responsible for breaking down food and helping with digestion. It produces strong digestive acids and enzymes that help break down the food you eat. These acids are so strong that, without protection, they could actually digest the lining of the stomach itself. To prevent this, your stomach has a special lining made of mucus that protects it from the acid. This lining isn’t permanent; it gets damaged by the digestive process over time. To keep the stomach safe, the lining renews itself approximately every 2 to 3 days. This continuous regeneration ensures that your stomach can keep working without the risk of being harmed by its own digestive juices.
