Living in an increasingly interconnected world, the internet has become an integral part of our daily lives. In light of this, we at Universal Wisdom School, as part of our Coffee Morning, conducted a session on "Cyber Safety for Children". Dr Nitin Sakhare, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Technology at Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, shed light on the advantages and potential risks of online activities. He emphasised the need for parents to remain vigilant and exercise caution when their children engage with digital platforms. Parents were encouraged to guide their children's online presence actively, emphasising the importance of setting boundaries, monitoring activities, and fostering open communication.

As May 1st dawns, we celebrate two incredible things. We raise a flag for Maharashtra Day, honouring the rich history and vibrant culture of our state. We also salute the tireless efforts of our workers on Labour Day, the backbone of our nation's progress. Here's to learning, growing, and building a brighter future together! At Universal Wisdom School, La Francophone was celebrated to foster an appreciation for the French language and the diverse francophone cultures. The students' performances highlighted the culture, music, dance, and traditions of various French-speaking cultures. The flag parade represented francophone countries, emphasizing their geography, history, and culture. These celebrations not only promote cultural diversity and understanding but also provide opportunities for language practice and appreciation of the French-speaking world. 🇫🇷

To introduce students to the cultural and spiritual significance of the Mahashivratri festival, a special assembly was conducted by the students of Grades 4 to 6. It began with the chanting of Om Namah Shivaya, followed by a few cultural programs, traditional dances, and educational activities related to the life of Lord Shiva. The performances left us spellbound and positive that this festival will protect the world from evil spirits and negativity and dispel every darkness and dismay.

At Universal Wisdom School, Balewadi, International Mother Language Day was celebrated to remind the students about the richness of human languages and the need to protect and promote linguistic diversity. We honour our cultural heritage by celebrating our mother languages and contributing to a more inclusive and harmonious world. Students reflected on the importance of preserving and promoting mother languages, which are essential to cultural identity and heritage.

We at Universal Wisdom School, Balewadi, were honoured with the august presence of Mr. Shivaprasad Mantri SB on the occasion of Shivaji Jayanti. Mr. Mantri, the author of several books on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, shared valuable insights that helped educate students about his legacy and the significance of his contributions to Indian history. Occasions like this help instil courage, leadership, and patriotism in students.

🏊🏼‍♂️ The ISSO Games, hosted by Universal Wisdom School, Balewadi, for the Under-11 series in basketball and swimming, was a grand success! 🏀 It was a day filled with excitement, enthusiasm, and outstanding performances by talented students from schools in and around Pune, including ours. The spirit of sportsmanship was evident in every competition, showcasing teamwork, perseverance, and dedication.🎖️

🏊🏼‍♂️ Adhit Gandhi, our Grade 3 student and swimming champion, did us proud by securing Silver🥈in the 100-meter Breaststroke event and a Bronze🥉in the 50-meter Breaststroke event. Kudos, Adhit! 🎉

Exciting news! Universal Wisdom School, Balewadi, is thrilled to announce the upcoming ISSO Games for the Under-11 series in swimming and basketball on the 20th and 21st of January 2024. This event will bring together schools from and around Pune. Get ready for a spectacular showcase of skill, sportsmanship, and global camaraderie!

Students at Universal Wisdom School chose "Christmas Around the World" as their theme. All our halls were decorated with mistletoes, stockings, trees, and snowflakes. The festivities included a Nativity skit, carols, and dance performances. Emphasizing the spirit of giving during the holiday season, our Leaders encouraged students to engage in charity or community service projects.

Mrs. Deshmukh, a parent, a certified nutritionist, and a food science expert, conducted a session for the students of Grades 4 and 7 on the topic 'Eat Healthy and Be Healthy'. The session focused on dietary choices, nutritional value, and maintaining healthy eating habits. She emphasised how a balanced diet provides energy as well as boosts our immune system. The students benefited immensely from this session. 

Universal Wisdom School, Balewadi, was proud to host the session by Author Dr. Dicky Susanto on 'Key Pedagogies Underpinning the New Cambridge IGCSE Maths Resources.' Thirty IGCSE Math educators from in and around Pune benefitted from the collaborative discussions, hands-on activities, and insights from experienced educators. Platforms like these always create a space for educators to share best practices, explore new teaching methods, and strengthen pedagogical skills, thus positively impacting math education within a school community.
