Fulfilling a Prophetic Vision 🌍📖
A historic collaboration has taken shape!
The Bhaktivedanta Research Centre (BRC) has launched an online Bengali language course in partnership with Scottish Church College—the very institution where A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada studied in the 1920s.
📚 The course is live on Scottish Church College’s homepage.
https://onlinecourses.scottishchurch.ac.in/
This initiative brings to life the powerful prediction of Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura, who foretold that people around the world would one day learn Bengali to read the Sri Caitanya-caritamrta in its original form.
This foundational level is designed especially for beginners and includes:
🔹 Bengali vowels and consonants
🔹 Script writing and pronunciation
🔹 Vowel markers & consonant conjuncts
🔹 Numbers, gender usage, basic nouns & adjectives
🔹 Everyday vocabulary (family, fruits, vegetables, spices)
🔹 Introduction to simple past & future tenses
🔹 Bengali months and seasons
As Srila Prabhupada kept the original Bengali in his translations, he envisioned a day when devotees would relish the ecstasy of reading the text directly. Today, that vision moves one step closer to reality.
🌏 Accessible worldwide.
✨ More levels are coming soon.

🌸 Gaudīya Vaiṣṇava Abhidhāna Online Series 🌸
The Vaishnava Abhidhāna of Śrī Haridāsa Dāsa (1898–1957) is a remarkable treasury of Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava tradition, preserving the lives, works, and contributions of countless saints and scholars. The Bhaktivedanta Research Center has now brought this monumental reference work online, making it easily accessible to seekers, researchers, and readers worldwide. 🌍
To celebrate this timeless contribution, every week we will share one entry from the Abhidhāna—inviting you to journey deeper into the spiritual, cultural, and historical richness of the Vaiṣṇava world. ✨
🔖 Today’s Entry
Category: Charitāvalī (Biographical Accounts)
Name of Entry: Raghunātha Dāsa Gōsvāmī .
Śrī Raghunātha Dāsa Gosvāmī was one of the most exalted associates of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, eternally serving in Vraja-līlā as Rasa-mañjarī, also known as Rati-mañjarī or Bhānumatī. He appeared around 1416 Śakābda in Kṛṣṇapura of present-day Hugli district, born into a wealthy zamindar family, yet from early life he developed intense vairāgya and a burning longing for the lotus feet of Mahāprabhu. Renouncing immense wealth, social status, and even his beautiful wife, he surrendered fully to Śrī Caitanya’s mercy, serving Him intimately for sixteen years under the guidance of Svarūpa Dāmodara. After Mahāprabhu’s disappearance, he went to Śrī Vṛndāvana, where Śrī Rūpa and Śrī Sanātana Gosvāmīs protected him like their own brother and nourished his divine devotion. Living at Śrī Rādhā-kuṇḍ he engaged day and night in nāma-smaraṇa, mānasa-sevā, and deep remembrance of Rādhā–Kṛṣṇa, surviving on minimal food and sleep. By divine arrangement, he received resources to restore Śrī Rādhā-kuṇḍa and Śyāma-kuṇḍa, thereby revealing them to the world. His transcendental writings—Stavāvalī, Dāna-keli-cintāmaṇi, and Muktā-carita—overflow with the highest moods of separation and divine love, eternally nourishing the hearts of Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇavas.
